I agree with Clay on Green Bay but am going a step further and backed them Moneyline at 9/4. I just think Rodgers with a running game spells a heap of trouble for the rest starting with this game. I think the defence will improve a fair bit this season as well. The Pack will set the record straight after that disgusting decision. Like everyone else I am looking forward to the season ahead. This is a mouth watering prospect but from a betting perspective best watched.

Terrible again from clay. Packers look very poor. Rodgers looks off the mark, the defence is very suspect. Seattle didn't even play particularly well but the packers still couldn't take advantage. The packers look to be on the way down in my opinion and I don't think Rodgers is quite the same after the injury( his bottle has also gone) and will be going against them this season.

Evening Clay, I think you have some valid points over the season but your emotions seem to blinker some of your thoughts.   As Wallflower has shown to go last season almost break even (with bookies overround) is pretty good, take away the Seattle picks you would be in nice profit.

Seattle did have some good breaks in the game, but the Packers deficiencies were well and truly exposed.  I think you said you like Indy this year?  I think Titans will shock a lot this year and could even take that division.

I agree Swardean.....O line woes and an inability to stop the run shone through for the Packers......think the Packers pass rush will be good this year but that rush defence is plainly not good enough.

Seahawks looked a class above for me.

Only just read this-cant believe clay is still hawks hating. Best team last year -think they have a great chance this as well-they are such a tough ,sound all round team-luck is not the key-try watching objectively not through one eye would be my advice!!

Definitely the team to beat rev ike (imo) however they have been lumbered with a pretty tough schedule this year.   If they can keep harvin and the beast fit, they have an amazing secondary and the pass rush improved this year, 13/2 looked short in February but looking more than fair now.

The 49ers went  to Arizona, Green Bay and then Carolina before going to Seattle for the championship game. And really should have won. Bad calls from the zebras. Bad decisions from Kaepernick. But to say the Seahawks were better is to ignore the facts

The reason they had to go to those places is they didn't win enough games to earn the hf adv.

Nobody said anything about the SB winner always being the best team.

The Seahwaks were deserving SB winners last year.

The 49ers werent good enough last year, and it had nothing to do with referees.

Seahawks also bombed SF 29-3 at home while losing a tight one 19-17 in SF. They were deserving of home field in the playoffs.

Fair play the Seahawks were very impressive last weekend. With other teams showing weaknesses the Patriots (generally), Broncos (I think they look vulnerable mentally in close matches), Saints (defense), Packers (look lightweight on defense) etc the Seahawks just look as solid as a rock and it's hard to pick a glaring weakness. I don't like their coach or Sherman but I have to be objective and agree that they have a quality team.

I think the 49ers have been the best team over the last 2 seasons but it's not like the Seahawks fluked it last season, they won a very close game with a questionable decisions against the 49ers but that's sport. The 49ers had 4 quarters to get the job done.

i feel sorry for arizona. from any other division they would be nailed on to make the play offs imo but they happen to have the best two side in the NFL to compete with

The Seahawks will be a better team this year than last. Russell Wilson is still improving for one thing. All  that can get in their way is if they start expecting to win easy every time.
