Final Little Competition of the Season:

Away for a while, great to back to my favourite month of the year, believe it or not, and 2 great weekends coming up Wild-Card and Divisional play-offs.

So - Final little competition on the side as we enter the play-offs, for those interested. We've had a couple so far, so may as well finish off the season with a little added interest. Prize is respect and admiration from this forum for 7 months (the off-season), not just a week as before


Very simple - but read carefully:
1.  Enter before first match Saturday night
2.  Points for each play-off match
3.  plus, bonus Points for calling AFC -NFC - Superbowl winners and Contenders pre-Play-offs:

For Each Play-Off Match:

3 points if called correctly
1 point if "no call" is made
-2 point if called incorrectly - so be really careful!

Bonus Points for calling Superbowl, NFC and AFC winner, BUT still allowing for covering an outsider by giving 6 choices to cover the 4 final spots in the Conference Championship Matches.

Bonus Points Chart as follows:

Superbowl Winner   1st Choice  -  possible 15pts    5pts get to conference final, plus 5pts if win conference, plus 5pts if win Superbowl

Table update after first two matches. I'll keep selections in the table, so everyone can check their own for correctness in case of a mistake. Kingmambo, misselephantstone, orioles and Victor Meldrew doesn't believe leading on 6pts. Bad start for no chances taken and Shazza93 - but as we all know (I hope!) where the NFL is concerned, a long long way to go. Its likely the individual match picks will only help separate those close on the overall picks.

Victor and no chances taken are the only ones on the Chargers, so would be huge for them if they came through. And only one person thinks the Pack will come through, milla445 - who will take the lead if the Packers win. Interesting to note of the 4 leaders 2 have the Bengals as their first choice and Kingmambo the 49ers, so defeat for any of these would be bigger blow to them than most of the others.

Hope you guys understand and get the formatting....painful trying to get lined-up, did it this way instead of lining-up columns.

Wild-card weekend over, Victor in front, but has Bengals as first choice, but picked Chargers to win - playing it both ways won't get it done Vic!! Kingmambo looks well placed with 7pts in bag and strongly "on" the 49ers and Broncos. Shazza although at bottom - is playing the NFC card and can easily come back. Milla445 - very very close with Packers, would have been a huge difference.
