Dirk - I had a big bet on Dallas -6.5pts. Laid off on match odds at 1.12 when the Cowboys were clear. It could have went pear shaped on both counts but got out with a big win at the death.
Sorry about that DD. I did remember not to trust Dallas, but not to move any money on to pack lol. Can't wait for bowl season!

Steelers are eliminated by my calculations. Best they can do is 8 wins which is same as Dolphins but Dolphins hold the tiebreaker over them.

Steelers are still in (mathematically) because the Jets can still finish 2nd in AFC East and Steelers have the tie-breaker over the Jets. For Steelers to get in they would need
1. Chargers to lose 1 of last 2 (vs Raiders, vs Chiefs)
2. Jets to win last 2 (vs Browns, @ Dolphins)
3. Dolphins to lose last 2 (@ Bills, vs Jets)
4. Ravens to lose at least 2 of last 3, incl Week 17 @ Bengals)

I think there's some huge ego's in Dallas, and not just Jer and Dez Bryant, any sensible play caller would have gone back to the run after a couple of 3 and outs. You have to chew clock and limit possessions with a big lead. Football 101.

Its ok, don't panic I think I've found it...... maybe around the subject of trading / gambling, on the other thread.....technically gambling I'd concede that, but then I'd contend there is a significant difference in the activity itself - the problem here will be definition of each - I'm not set on my view so I won't be all chest-thumping.
I'm not getting into it on the other thread atm, too distracting with possibly a wild one on tonight - I might stoke it up again midweek when I don't have matches to concentrate on.

It's all gambling, you can't trade out of a lay of the fav when they win 48-0. I'd say there's a subtle differences in that you have the chance to get out your losing bet, and you can turn a loser into a winner if you're sharp. Yes it is about definitions - standing in Laddies shouting at the TV is gambling and so is trading, but there's more of often than not an element of control in trading.
