Prob Denver win but not by much

the giants are useless. as i said a while back when everybody was wetting themselves over the giants cos theyd won a few games, they have nothing much to offer. the chargers cant win this game. 10.5 does look a little high though. denver go behind almost every game, so plenty of prospects laying them. but in the end im pretty sure theyll come out winners. unless peyton gets injured obviously.

Is Champ Bailey a big miss? I like Tamme in the slot, so Welker may not be a problem. Wesley Woodyard and Duke Ihenacho may have something to prove and Manning really enjoys prime time and is itching to rid himself of the 'cold weather choker' tag. The Broncos have too many weapons and playing from behind will mean Rivers will have to air it out.

bailey missing shouldnt make much difference. rivers will make enough mistakes if hes anything like the rivers ive ever seen. doesnt matter whos in the secondary if he throws it straight to em. the main thing about rivers is getting pressure on him. get the pressure, you get the turnovers.

the rivers stat can completely be explained by the fact season after season under under norv turnip the chargers started the season slower than an arthritic turtle, then went on winning streaks near the end of the season. late season games obviously are gonna be colder than early season games.

I'm on the chargers with the points regardless of the stats. I pay very little attention to them. However some are useful.

the only stats id take any notice of are previous games this season. denver are 7-0 at home and would be 6-1 giving up 10.5 points.

that said, if i had to pick id possibly pick the chargers +10.5 but its not really something id want to bet on either way. i hate handicap betting.

I've just gone unders on tonights game just for a bit of interest. Probably won't be the greatest spectacle but it will fill a gap until 2:30am when the ashes start and at least then I can decide whether to keep flicking between the two or stick with the ashes.

lol i joke. hes not that bad. hes about average for the starters. pushing the top 10 qb's in the league. hes one of the steadiest qb's in the league. you know what hes gonna do well, but you know what he isnt too. hes a bit like roethlisberger and flacco in that respect. in that you know what youre gonna get from him. hes gonna make throws, but if you get in his face eventually he will throw a daft one straight to the defense when he should be throwing it out of bounds.

I agree Swardean, I also think the Saints and Bengals on their day would too. Yes Peyton is amazing, but a great team can't rely on one player so much. Broncos rely on Peyton as much as Green Bay rely on Aaron Rodgers. Defence needs a lot of work done to it if they are to win a superbowl. Look at how a Colts at the top of their game with Reggie Wayne and Andrew Luck tore them apart a couple of months ago.

Certainly not. Tbh the thing that worries me most about Seahawks is the complete opposite and that's scoring points when the going gets tough as proven last week v the 49ers. Broncos though just can't rely on Peyton every single game. They will be very lucky if they win a superbowl this way.

Broncos were truly awful tonight. It's not a shock this performance given how they have been defending for a while now. Wheels could be coming off before the off season even starts. Going to be interesting to see how both the wildcard races go. For what it's worth I think (and hope) Baltimore are going to beat Detroit this weekend so will go 8-6. I think they are probably in the box seat for the 2nd wildcard spot now providing they do the business over the lions.
