Romo shouldnt take the blame on this one, had an amazing game. Not his fault he had no running game and no defence. He knew he had to make a play and take a risk or Manning would have had 2 minutes and 3 timeouts to get the Broncos in field goal range. Nobody would have seen the Cowboys defence stopping that.

you cannot hide this fact.

unfortunately the NFL is all about making the plays in these situations, fair or not.

It's a hard one to get a handle on. Romo was nothing short of brilliant (he was driving me mad) throughout the game....but it's true, just when the game is on the line he does something (or something happens) to lose.

- The Cowboys would have been losing by 20 pts+ except for Romo
- It was one of the offensive linemen's foot that stopped Romo from planting his own foot to get the right zip on the ball (unlucky)
- But, it wasn't a pass to attempt anyway!

Apart from Witten, Bryant & T.O Romo as spent his time in Dallas surrounded by ineptude. He is the only way the Cowboys can win and without him they would have been dead and buried in the 3rd quarter and in lost more games than won. Cowboys have in the majority no defence, no special teams and no running game, and too much is put on his shoulders. It just does my head in how everytime Dallas lose its his fault when nobody else gets the blame. In my eyes when your defence concedes 51 points its not the Quarterbacks fault the team lost!

Romo is not the problem in Dallas.

you certainly can but you have to look at Romo's record and history and yes he had a good game against the Broncos but he had a chance to win the game (more important than stats) and he blew it.

in short the cowboys will need to trim approx 30 million from their projected budgets next year - so DeMarcus Ware could get traded (for example). have fun.

I would think Dez Bryant would be after more money as well.

They should get rid of romo, draft a young QB and start building talent on the Defense. 

Romo, Witten, Miles Austin would all be worth decent draft picks.

I think the Giants are looking at the same dilemma tbh.

Austin, Free, Spencer, Ratliff are the ones we need to get rid of not Romo. Chances are we draft the next Blaine Gabbert then what we left with. Good Quarterbacks are hard to find, Romo isnt a Manning or Brady but he's a top 10 QB, you dont get rid of top 10 QB's!

You could say the Steelers could take that path too, but the chances of getting a better QB than Ben are pretty slim. What the Steelers need is a left tackle more than anything. If the Steelers can get into the top 10 they should get a good one.

My worry with the team is Tomlin and the lack of player development over the last 3-4 years. Tomlin is fine when he's handed an elite team, he seems powerless now.

Glad someone agrees Dirk, cant believe how bad the steelers are this year so far. still think you will put a run together though, was a great game at cowboys stadium last year

I can believe how bad they've been! I was warning all and sundry last year not to back the Steelers. The Dallas game was a classic, but again summed the direction of the team up well. 3-4 years ago the Steelers ice that game no doubt.

The Steelers are done, they're not putting a run together this year. It might be for the best, they need to sort the o-line out this year and roll with Le-Veon Bell, he's got good feet and can shift laterally which is essential, none of the other backs we have could make me miss a tackle.

A high draft pick and a franchise kind of player is what we need more than an 8-8 type push for the playoffs type year.


That said, this is not a bad 0-5 team with no talent that will take years to turn round like the Jags it is much closer to last years Chiefs type team, plenty of talent, but can't put it together.


I've seen some pretty good things from the offense in the last 2 games.

Opening position on Packers, took some back alright......but Ravens are all over Rodgers.....not at all comfortable here......little shimmy needed here to subtly yet profitably move over to Ravens

This might force Dallas to trade Romo
