HOUSTON TO SLAY THE SEATTLE DIRTY BIRDS Huge, huge, huge ENOURMOUS (biggest of season so far) bet on the Houston Texans +2.5 at 10/11.
You all realise this game is in Houston and not Seattle? Just checking.
Seattle, imperious at home but extremely dodgy away, are begging to be opposed against a Texan side coming off a hugely disappointing defeat at the hands of Champions the Baltimore Ravens.
But the scoreline tells only half the story. The Ravens were massively flattered as Houston handed them the victory on the plate. Up until that point Houston had looked fairly comfortable.
They have a tough schedule and they know they must bounce back ASAP and what better way to do it than against the homesick dirty birds.
They scraped a very narrow win over Carolina on the road in week one but that performance again highlighted the difference between their home and away displays. A repeat of that performance will see Houston chalk up a win here.
Foster's running, play action and Andre Johnston will hurt Seattle all day long while Wilson will be having nightmares about JJ Watt after this game.
Houston have a very strong home record and they are a massive bet +2.5 against the Seahawks.

RGIII TO RAID OAKLAND FOR VITAL WIN Big bet on the Redskins -3 at 5-6.
I thought there were more than enough signs last week that RGII and the Redskins offence are starting to click. Ok their pass defense is till rotten but are Oakland good enough to take advantage of it? I'm not convinced.
Oakland played well at Denver on Monday night but an interesting stat is how poor the Raiders are coming off the back of a Monday Night game in the last 10 years.
If RGIII improves from last week - and there is no reason to suspect he won't - then the Redskins will take some stopping here.

JETS D SET TO TRAMPLE ON THE TITANS Big bet on the Jets +3.5 at 5-6
I'm more and more impressed with the Jets defense every time I see them. And they will prove a much stiffer task to the Titans than the Chargers did last week.
And there were signs that Gino Smith was starting to get his act together on offence too.
I know I'm not the only one not to be convinced by the Titans and their seemingly good start to the season.
THis Jets D will put it up to them in no uncertain terms today.

BEARS SET TO TAME THE LIONS Big Bet on the Bears +3 at 10-11
Ok, what is it I'm missing with this one? I genuinely thought the spread would be the other way around.
As you know I think the Bears have been flattered so far this season but I have to give them credit that they keep on finding a way to win despite not playing that well.
The lions are the Lions. Can be good, can be terrible.
They are a huge danger on offense with Megatron but they are shipping yards galore on defense and the Bears could have a field day here.
I accept anything could happen in this game but I'm genuinely surprised the Bears are getting +3 on the spread.
I still hate Jay Cutler mind Cool I could be detesting him later ShockedShockedShocked

Texas are classic bit spitters, I don't think they're max bet material. Seattle aren't great on the road though. That needs to change. If Seattle turn up and play the intense kind of ball especially on defense that we have all seen before, then the Texans will fold the tent up. Big if though.

I'm with you on the skins Clay.

Coin flip for me, no idea what will happen in this game.

Agree again, should be flipped.

I was listening to a Houston radio commentator with 35 years experience of following pro football in Houston and probably knows this team better than anyone. . He made all the same points everyone is making about the 2 teams facing each other today but interesting to me was his quite strong belief that the Seahawks will win 19-17.

houston have been garbage so far, that has to change at some point
seattle have been near perfect so far, they cant keep that up
seattle arent built for comeback wins, so houston is a tough team for them to play on the raod

i wouldnt touch the jets with someone elses

id love to know where you got the jets from. i said in the other fred i fancied tennessee to win. i guess you havent seen them play? they were unlucky losing to houston, beat pittsburgh and san diego.

i agreed with houston, very unlucky to lose, no real thoughts on chicago or washington, but i thought the titans were one of the stronger picks to win of the week.
