Cracking game! Packers hanging inthere but gifting SF the ball a couple of times and one TD. Looking a lot better than we feared. All to play for. I got Pack +9.5 on bet365!

Good to see a bit of nasty in the Packers team for once
....Niners will be disappointed not to be in front.Packers O line has held up better in the second quarter....thought they would get mullared by the Niners D line and Rodgers would be running for his life all afternoon.......enjoying the games. Asamougha is a shadow of the player he once was....think Rodgers will target him again in second half cos Nelson is having his way with him. |

are any of you guys in London?

RODGERS CANT GET A GOOD RUN COS THEIR D IS SO SO WEAK. EVERY 49 RUN SEEMS TO END IN A BIG PLAY

Thanks gray,
My GF is a Septic from Sconnie. Can I find a yank to watch Sunday night Football in West London, Little America? Not a chance! Plenty of Packers fans at the Sports Cafe every January though! |

Packers need a turnover.
By:
kaep will make last season look a poor one imo..don't see him slowing down this year
By:
I think you are right harry, he has a good team around him too and won't have Clay Matthews in his face every week either.
By:
Playing without Crabtree as well who is a big miss.
By:
imagine crabtree vernon and boldin

PACKERS AINT WINNING SHJIT THIS SEASON ROGERS OR NOT ... THAT D CANT STOP ANYTHING

Packers defence has done better than hoped for! Still in the game.

By:
and the turnovers cost the Packers

Against a team who aren't good against the run this Niners O could be scary with Boldin Davis and Crabtree all fit with Gore running.
Jolly is a BIG difference maker to the Packers run D which is remarkble for a man outta football for three years. |
By:
people will be saying the same thing about every team all season...'they can't win they can't stop the run,the pass etc' all teams have weaknesses that is why this season is wide open
By:
think we have seen tonight the difference clay makes..he was a huge loss last year
By:
Wouldn't be surprised if boldin wins back to back rings.
what a pick up,superb kaep so calm, bolding and wayne must have the most reliable hands in the business. |
By:
will they kick FG or run the clock?

Good start to the season.

Have to admit the Packers surprised me, I was very impressed with their performance given the opposition
By:
Yep, I thought Packers did as good as could hope for considering it was SF in the West. On the plus side I had a little wager on Packers +9.5 on Bet365 so can at least sleep tonight!

I watched the 3/4 quarters of the KC Chiefs match, have to say I was also very impressed with Alex Smith and the KCC in general but then you have to balance it out in that they played an out of sorts team. Still, it was good to see Alex Smith make a very tidy start. They should have a good season, seem to have a nice balance to their team. Obviously the Broncos and the 49ers look the teams to beat but interesting first week elsewhere nonetheless. I would be interested in other peoples views of other matches they watched, the Falcons v Saints looked a quality match on paper?

Some of you tipped the Steelers to struggle beforehand - I only watched bits and pieces but they looked very average, that looks a weak division this year

ive backed them both for the superbowl (along with denver), nfc and their divisions. kind of awkward game really.
