Having watched Top 10 NFL Drafts on youtube, I found it very interesting how the Steelers passed up on Dan Marino in 1983 who was playing college ball in the University of Pittsburgh.
The Jets drafted Ken O'Brien before Dan Marino.....
The 49ers drafted Alex Smith (Utah) ahead of Aaron Rodgers who played in the University of California on their doorstep.

Anyone got any other good examples of these mess-ups?

The Raiders are without doubt one of the very worst drafting teams, if the worst.

The NFL draft is not the crapshoot people make out, good org's draft well time and time again, the teams that are almost always competitive are also the teams that draft best.

watched that "Elway To Marino"...brilliant.
Chuck Knoll passing on Marino....Art Rooney wanted him, he should have used all his power to get Marino on board.
