patriots are terrible against the pass
i cant see this being a blowout. not unless ray rice fumbles the ball. the ravens have everything to beat the pats imo that said Brady obviously has the edge but with the gronk out this is all on him and welker. i really like the ravens to cover with ease and can see it being decided by a FG again. |
By:
I said they were good against the run. Baltimore are much more effective when they run the ball well. I think the Pats will take that route away from them.
You are forgetting Hernandez as a weapon and Ridley has been excellent recently. The game changed last week in Denver when Moreno went off injured and Denver couldn't run it anymore. When Denver were running the ball they moved the ball with ease. The Pats will do the same |
By:
why would they need to run much when they will be able to pass for fun.
ray rice isnt a typical runner. he doesnt get his big plays from scrimmage. |
By:
U obviously don't watch Baltimore a lot......Baltimore much more effective when Ray Rice gets lots of carries. Flacco good off play action. Stop the run and Baltimore offence will struggle
By:
i would say i have probably watched nearly every baltimore game this season
the joys of gamepass |
By:
I think the pats should be more concerned about covering Torrey Smith imo, flacco could have a field day in passing yardage imo, whether this translates into the ravens winning remains to be seen. I would be surprised if the ravens didnt cover.
By:
ps, i would usually agree with you about the baltimore Offense run first and pass second
but Flacco nearly threw for 400 yards against this team last time and scored 31 points no reason to think that wont be the strategy again |

WD Baltimore backers. I called this game completely wrong. I got the 49ers game completely right so I'm level for the weekend.
Now the dust has settled a few thoughts. The turning point of the whole game was Talib's injury. I'm amazed the people haven't picked up on it. The stats for the Pats with and without Talib are chalk and cheese. With him in the side the Ravens were barely making a play down the field. When Talib went off the ravens stepped up a gear and the Pats couldn't stop them making plays down the field. This changed the whole game. Changed the attitudes of both teams. Also Brady's mistake at the end of the 1st half was amateurish in the extreme. If it had called a time out straight away he would have had 2 shots at a TD before kicking a field goal. 17-7 instead of 13-7 would have made such a difference at half time. There was also two occasions when Brady could have run for a 1st down but shuffled along and slid short after bottling it. Poor poor show. I'm pretty certain that if Talib had stayed on the Pats would have scraped home. His injury changed everything |

If 'ifs' and 'buts' were candy and nuts, we'd all have a wonderful Christmas.

You could argue that Talib being injured changed things if it had ended 35-34 or something.
Fact was NE'S offence never really clicked all night and Brady had one of his poorest games ever. Before the game you'd have thought the Ravens would have to score at least 28 to even be in with a sniff. As it turned out 14 would have been enough. |
By:
A Pats fan, who I respect a lot, text me after the 1st quarter saying that they will need to score 30pts in order to win. Turns out he was right
By:
Because the Pats scored 13, right?
![]() (Sorry, I couldn't help it) |

I think the reality is/was is that the Pats just arent the team they used to be. The ravens are a better all round team.
the Pats are continually patching up their D Brady is getting on now, still as brilliant as he is and Welker seems to drop more and more key catches. I think losing Gronk was a killer blow to them as it took away their big play threat. |
By:
If Talib's injury was the turning point in the Ravens-Pats game, what was the turning point in the 49ers-Falcons game then?

three punts inside Ravens 40yard line, three key drops on 3rd down, horrible in RZ...it was just a shocking performance from Pats O...it wasn't a case of Ravens D playing amazing
By:
lol completely right on falcons game- covering the spread by a half point and nearly losing. you lost big this weekend, admit it laydavis
By:
what an absolute t!t you are. whether you are right by half a point of 20 pts they still pay u out the same. And if u read the in running thread on here I was backing the 49ers in running when they were 17pts down.
By:
im not a tit, i had 9ers -3 10/11 and falcons +4.5 11/10 for big money. some luck repaid for purito's vuelta illness.

I don't think i'm going out on a limb when I say Brady and Manning SNR will never win another SB.
Clay, can you please post more of your bankers in typically bombastic max bet banker stylee next NFL season, I think we'd all be grateful! ![]() |

>>>I can't see it, Peyton can't throw in the cold, and Tom's team just 'aint all that, and I don't think despite the gaudy stats he's quite what he was. Both teams come out the worst div's in football and it showed. |
