If these guys know so litle about the game that they have to fill most of the half hour before the game with this 'Travelogue' tripe then they should resign so someone who actually can discuss the game can get on with it. Could you imagine this happening before a Champions League quarter final clash ... never ... not even with Adrian Chiles & co.

It could well be the producer, and I am sure they all know the game inside out, but they seem to be so comfortable in the job that they mindlessly spout cliches or read out emails when they could be far more informative and entertaining at the same time.

Jeff is the best commentator that has ever been on the programme. Good stories and unrivalled technical insights such as junk fronts and explaining pass route concepts such as arrow.

Couldn't agree with Hoofball more , Jeff is brilliant and a superb reader of the game as well he should , Cadle makes me cringe , how much is he on I would love to know , just to say " So 24 - 7 in our balllllgame , what you like over there Neil ?" ( 5 mins later ) ok back to the ballllgame
