Indy are a 3pt favourite but this looks a tough one to call and I have no opinion on the game. Anybody got a strong fancy for either of the teams? Please post if you have and state reasons why. Views welcome from EVERYONE and no criticism from me after the event, Win, Lose or Draw.
I think the Jags D is underrated personally but the offense cant keep them off the field which is hitting them hard in the second half particularly with MJD missing. The Jags have had a pretty torrid schedule as well.
Also the Colts have been pretty poor away this season.
the pressure is on Luck now as they actually have a legitimate shot at the playoffs so will be interesting to see how this affects him with all the media surrounding him as well.
Jags also beat Indy earlier in the season but MJD ran for 170 yards that day
tough game to call as any Jags game is but I quite like the Jags to win the first half and also Jags/Indy on the HT/FT markets
Not a game to play big though imo

I'm not buying that this could be a shock, i'll give you that the colts play significantly poorer on the road than at home, but Luck is playing beyond his years, and I just think at the moment their riding a wave of momentum they have driven up. Add into that the whole team has to be inspired by the circumstances surrounding Chuck, I think the colts take this.
Every colts game, apart from the bears and jets where they got beat comfortably, has been a one possession score. And given that this jags d is underrated they could keep it close, but like d13 says, they don't seem to be able to stay on the field on offense. In what could turn out to be a close game, id rather have my money riding on Luck than Gabbert and that Jags offence.

Had the makings of a decent drive until it got to the business end. Surprised Scobie missed that FG - could be a long night for the Jags
Pick taken away as well

Well apart from the steelers home to kansas which WILL be a complete thrashing....sunday we have saints v falcons...cowboys v eagles usually a good game and then the texans v bears

eagles season will be over after sunday..expect dallas to win easily to be honest..the dallas D has been playing well and vick is in for another torrid time....imagine other QBs coping without 3 of the starting linemen.
I see the falcons being too strong all round for the saints....texans v the bears is a hard one to call..I guess the weather could be an advantage for chicago...I hope chicago win this one but i see it being very tight as I can see cutler having a nightmare..dont see schaub having much of a game either. May get involved during the match but no bet before hand.

i have a feeling that the Falcons are going to get a Saints whooping.
The Falcons are due one. Having watched nearly all their games, I know they are 8-0 but they arent that good.

but dallas were the best D available so had to snap them up,,,you can see ware getting a few sacks at least...dallas are favs i see
struggling at RB with jones drew out..basically playing with one back

have been fairly lucky with my schedule. scored high against the better teams and played the poorer teams at the right time.
also picked up a few that will come back from injuries for the playoffs like amendola and Mendenhall

Nice to see this thread generated as much interest as the game itself. I couldn't believe the empty seats around the stadium last night.
The Jags unfortunately just seem to be a stagnant franchise, with little hope of going anywhere fast. Their defense is definitely not the worst but on the offensive side of the ball they are dreadful. Take MJD out they have no playmakers on offense and bare in mind their first round picks gabbert and blackmon have failed so far to show they can perform at this level.
This is a franchise which was dying out for Tebow time when he became available, i know they tried to make a move for him,and i dont know the ins and outs of the deal but i think their will be a few people in the jags organization who wish they had tried a little bit harder.
I'm not saying tebow would have led them to the superbowl (I have backed them) but i think he would have gone a long way to save this franchise.

^ I lasted only 3 quarters.....They could do a lot worse than tebow...I know denver had a lot more talent than the jags but tebow won the division for them last season...shorts looking like a very good receiver..

I lasted 0 quarters! Couldn't agree more harry. To be fair im a huge Tebow fan, not because i think hes the greatest qb in the nfl, but because he is just simply a winner. I love his attitude his work ethic and how he plays the game.
Im not knocking denver for getting manning and trading tebow away (who wouldnt?) but i kind of dont think they treated him particularly well. He deserve another shot this year imo and it kills me to watch a player who captivated a whole audience down the stretch last season to be rotting away on the sidelines of the new york jets, who for some reason continue to start the sanchize.

He probably failed in denvers eyes not winning the superbowl
He was on fire last season and by far the biggest talking point through the season...the whole country was tebow mad and as you say now taking one 2 snaps a game if he is lucky...the jets are done for the season so will he get a chance?

Last night's game was weird because it looked like the bet of the season so far. I had Indy double digits better, but no-one else seemed as bullish and I was quite nervous by game time.
Luckily, the Jags were even more horrible than I thought!

Tebows a bust with the jets, or Tebows a bust overall ?
The lines i feel are usually relatively accurate, like you say this week it seemed to be a little on the short side. Not sure id have gone 2 scores better, but would of thought the line would have been hovering around a TD.

IM THE SAME WHEN IT COMES TO TEBOW .. NO1 WATCHES HIM THE SAME WAY THEY WATCH RODEGRS AND CO BUT BECAUSE HE'S A "STORY LINE" PURE AND SIMPLE. HE MAKES IT INTERESTING SORTA LIKE A BAD SOAP OPERA. SAME REASON WHY THEY WATCH HOLLYOAKS WE ALL KNOW THEY WONT WIN A BAFTA BUT PEOPLE STILL WATCH IT.

My knock on Tebow is hardly original, SJ; his recognition isn't great and he takes an age to set the ball and get through the pass.
This means if you put him in an option offense as Denver did, with easy reads and nothing too testing for his arm, accuracy or timing, he can produce, but even that gameplan can be effectively controlled and has a limited shelflife.
I admire the same things you do about Tebow and he seems to have a lot of class. His mechanics can be dealt with and rebuilt and his game will improve as he plays more and he'll still be a very dangerous runner, so there's a lot of promising talent there - the problem is, these guys get lost in the mix and this year's crop of strong rookies shove work in progress QBs further down the list.
The Jets won't restructure their offense for him now and unless he gets more comfortable in the pocket, he'll always struggle. I'd love him to have a successful career as a QB, but I just can't see it happening at the moment.
