How bad are the people in the operations department? They really have no clue.
The Houston/Green Bay game is starting in less than 20 minutes and they haven't managed to set up this market.
Can you imagine this happening in a soccer game televised on terrestial TV live?
Luckily 1st Touchdown type (£7 matched), 3rd quarter moneyline (zero matched), Highest scoring half (£17 matched), odd or even total points (zero matched) are alll there. I could have found more examples btw, I chose those really randomnly.
My suggestion would be to stop cluttering up the site with these markets that nobody wants to bet on and get the markets in order of likely liquidity.
Also a market like 1st TD scorer should be up 12 hours before the game. Just looking on Oddschecker and 13 firms seem to have copied each other pretty efficiently.
Ten minutes to kick-off and I have counted 40 markets on this game. 14 of them have more than £1 but less than £500 traded. Many of those have seen one bet matched. There are 9 markets without any bets matched at all.
I actually think it is good when there are several handicaps on each game but the operations department seem to have zero concept of key numbers and they are always using three kinds of total points and spread when the line has moved through a dead number.
Would it be too much to ask for Betfair to care?
