I'm potentially siding with four strong defensive units this Sunday, it is early days, Injury reports will be vital.
Tampa (-4 v Kansas) - Kansas have had issues at QB all year, many will be celebrating Cassel's demise, though it is a sure fire losing season for any fan base calling for Brady Quinn. Tampa don't have the best pass defence/rush at first glance, though as previously mentioned on another thread, they have faced some slingers. What they do possess is a stern rushing defence and if they can stop the free running Jamaal Charles then the pressure will be heaped upon the shoulders of Quinn. Eric Wright could also make life tougher if returning to the Buc's secondary. Offensively, the Tampa have enough to cover and are a solid outfit at home.
Miami (-3.5 v St Louis) - I like the Rams, a much improved outfit and given a few years, they may once again spot a playoff berth, even in a tough NFC west division. They are currently unbeaten at home against a winless road record. St Louis will be missing the services of Amendola thus lacking a clear cut no 1 receiver. Another negative is that Bradford has been on the receiving end of 10 of his 15 sacks during the two times that the Rams have hit the road (see below). The Miami D will be willing to meet him with open arms, they have racked up an impressive 15 sacks, thanks mainly to Cameron Wake, who enjoyed 4.5 sacks against the Cardinals. Miami also rank the no.1 rushing D.
Sacked 4 times in Detroit (a poor pass rush team to date) 2 sack at home to Washington 6 sacks at Chicago 2 sacks at home to Seattle 1 sack at home to Arizona
Chances that this could be a low scoring affair, so unders (37.5-38 at the time of writing) could also be an option.
Vikings (? @ the 'skins) - This obviously rests on the health of RG3, he will have to be cleared by an independent doctor if he is to see game time on Sunday. Cousins is a raw back up, he does look to have the mechanics at this early stage, the question is whether or not he has the application? bwin have the line with Minnesota receiving 3, other bookmakers remain cautious and rightly so. I would still consider that line if RG3 does start, the Vikes can stop the run (Morris) and their overall defensive package is solid. They also have balanced options offensively and plenty of playmakers in Harvin, Peterson, Rudolph and Jenkins, I still haven't lost hope with Jerome Simpson after his poor week 5, injury ravaged effort.
Finally, Houston (-3.5 v Green Bay) - Houston get extended time to recover from their minimal efforts on Monday night. I'm not a fan of taking on Green Bay, I can never get them right. However, this week they face a team that can move the ball at will (GB are having trouble stopping opposing offences) and have the ability to rush the passer. Granted, Cushing is a big loss, though the impressive JJ Watt and Brooks Read remain, backed up by Barwin and co. Rodgers has been sacked 21 times thus far, tough when considering that the pack is without a legit running game and missing Jennings, Jermichael Finley is also a doubt for the game. I would also expect Andre Johnson to put up some numbers this week.
i like seasons like this..all this nonsense about the packers and turmoil in the camp...pats at 3-3 and still they are the team to beat in many peoples eyes...packers are not far off turning it d13

exactly...the viking defeat is a bonus.. I think the packers can make up games in this division when they play the vikes and the bears game who they always beat

ClayDavis 14 Oct 12 17:13 Cowboys have absolutely NO chance of beating the Ravens. 1) Cowboys choke and are not strong enough for a team like the Ravens and 2) Baltimore simply do not lose at home. ClayDavis
ClayDavis 14 Oct 12 17:36 Dallas ZERO chance of winning in Baltimore FACT
Not "ZERO" chance....SEVERAL chances.....
major mistake with the clock and the call in the last 30 seconds....
