On the face of it 2-2(losing to SF+the Steelers aint too bad but its the magnitude and Offensive ineptitude that has left this Jet feeling Sanchez should be benched. Tebow time is near but it aint next Monday it would be madness to introduce TT against the texans( SB contenders for sure). The O line cant give MS time or protect him,the D line cant stop the run,Revis is out for the season and the special teams are error strewn too. So with this background Rex would be mad to put TT in on Monday, but the coaches job is on the line and Woody may consider a change at Head Coach,so what do you guys think is it Tebow time ? or are the gang green so bad it wont make any difference.
the trouble with tebow is hes crap. luckiest QB who ever lived to get those wins last year. if i were "not so sexy" rexy i wouldnt let him anywhere near the team. unless i needed a waterboy. sanchez is distinctly ordinary, but hes still a world away from tebow. the jets are fairly poor all round. they had revis, that was about it. still have a chance, cos theres a whole load of poor teams in the league. theres 3 in their division alone!
all imho obviously! thank you, come again.

Don`t think they`ll start him but they`ll definitely use him a lot more Monday night. Sanchez is a very average qb, good at 20yd passes given protection, but get in his face and he is the worst qb in league under pressure.

Yeah I agree with the above Sanchez is a really woeful quaterback under pressure and his passing range, timing and pocket awareness are all poor. I don't necessarily think Tebow is the answer but at this stage I don't think that he is any worse. At least in play action they will need to guard against the run. Would be a tough start against Houston though.

The decision is a lot bigger than "will Tebow win us this game against the Texans (or whoever)" though
By benching Sanchez at this early stage in favour of Tebow (who is not a franchise QB), Ryan is effectively ending Sanchez's career at the Jets, and maybe the NFL.
If the Jets still believe that Sanchez is still a usable QB then he won't be dropped. Otherwise the Jets will be drafting one next Spring.

excellent point. if you get benched for tebow you may as well empty your locker out. big decision to make. plus look at alex smith. he looked utterly hopeless for years. not saying he looks great now, but theyve managed to work a system around him. one where he's under check, but still makes some big plays. thats what the jets will want to do with sanchez. and its not beyond the realms of possibility. though the 9ers have a hell of a lot better roster than the jets do.
