I've been sweet on the Nats since spring training and they've got home-field advantage throughout the whole playoffs if it comes to that. But I wonder whether the Tigers might be the bet now, having underperformed all season but clinched [a weak division] with a couple of games to spare unlike the rest of the AL. Verlander is such a huge weapon to have; not only does he win but he eats up 8+ innings when he does, and Scherzer is a very solid #2.
