Guys is anyone else concerned that sky are not showing the nfl.

So far no advertsising no mention of any live games and apparently the contract has expired for the rights to show Sunday night games

To the best of my knowledge the Giants game is not on Tv and it starts on Weds. Anyone else know anymore about what is happening.

Am aware ESPN have got Thursday and I believe Monday Night football

Usually goes up to the last minute.  Usually gets sorted then.  Just hope it's going to be usual!

there's a new additional subscirption channel about to be launched by Sky, called Sky Bowl. All live games and loads of additional content will be on there. It was in this months Sky magazine. Think  you have to pay £5 per month unless you have Sky World whereby it is free.

its a complete joke

i hope Sky don't get it and the NFL turn around and allow Gamepass to show all games and also Redzone.

That would be the ideal scenario.

NFL is the only reason why I would go back to Sky.

Get involved with american football at 730am tomorrow on sky sports news is a slight step forward.

All this hype about nfl london etc etc....how the game is getting bigger in this country...surely taking it away from the viewer will be a massive blow. Confused

Good point the Jags have committed to playing here for the next few years, it`d be unbelievably stupidity to take it off the air now

I would still want Sky even if they didn't have NFL but I would definitely cancel just to voice my little opinion.

"Its getting ridiculous leaving it this late."

Alistair Kirkwood is useless. He blew the last deal and we ended up with worse coverage than the previous deal. The trouble with NFLUK is they're kidding themselves on that London is going to get a franchise.

That is nonsense, they have struggling franchises IN AMERICA right now...so they'e going move one 5,000 miles to an apathetic country?

Of course they are Alistair!!!

Statement on NFLUK forum.

With the new NFL season kicking off next week, we fully understand the concerns of our fans that the full UK broadcast line-up for the new season has not yet been announced, beyond the new Channel 4 agreement for Sunday Night Football and the existing deal with BBC TV for Super Bowl and Wembley/playoff highlights.

We have been in negotiations for some time to extend our broadcasting agreements for this season and will announce the full package for the 2012 season as soon as possible. However, it is possible that this may not be before Tuesday at the earliest. Thank you for your support and patience.

I suppose the reference to an intention to announce "the full package" for this year is mildly promising, though the fact it will likely will not be released "before Tuesday at the earliest" makes Wednesday's opener, and possibly Sunday's games, look a bit iffy.

NFL.UK are ******* useless.

To the NFL: Get rid of these shambolic ****s, take coverage away from Sky,and give us what we want EVERY SINGLE GAME LIVE: Via GAMEPASS.

Nope. Totally and utterly pathetic.

An onion could do Kirkwood's job.

Well its looking more and more like sky are not going to bother this year - Im looking into game pass and wondering if anyone can tell me how much download is required to stream an entire game. I have limits on my internet and dont want to pay for game pass if its going to cause me problems down the line.

Are there any users out there who can answer this?

And I only hear good things about game pass is it really that good ?

Thanks alot

Does anybody honestly think there will be more liquidity in the nfl markets if 'every game was on GamePass'.  Let's face it ... here is no point wading through all those adverts at 3 in the morning to watch two teams that I couldn't give a f*ck about unless you can make money on it.  If there is no coverage on SKY or ESPN the season will be a washout.

i've had gamepass before and can only rave about it, however, this year thought i'd go back to sky.............maybe not then!

Problem you have is altho its great there is a slight delay as its coming through as HD, about 5-10 seconds i think so it would make live betting a nightmare as the guys in europe would watch the game live on ESPN America and end up sniping you.....think the same happened for a while with MLB

Plus this year its had a massive price drop adn loads of extra features added - not sure why?!?

I'll be gutted if sky don't pick it up, it was the 6 day blackouts / redzone that swung it for me and most of the time sky did pick the best games of the week so was always a **** not to be able to watch them live, unless you paid extra for a vpn connection (£6 month) and connected to holland and then the gamepass

If sky don't get it i'll get gamepass as no way am i missing the G-Mens first game, i'll cancel sky sports aswell and keep espn for odd prem game and NCAAF

I can't remember it ever getting to this stage but every year there's a drama with a deal getting done right at the wire.
Sky are committed to NFL coverage, they've been covering the sport for nearly 20 years, the jokers here are the NFL who are determined to take the game worldwide then happily sit back and watch the broadcasters fail to agree a deal.
The thought of Wembley being half full come October is too painful for the league to consider, chuck in the idea of the desperate Jags coming over regularly and without massive advertising and constant plugging Wembley will be a disaster.
Announcement tomorrow from NFLUK, expect Sky to get 6pm and 9pm Sunday games plus post season as in previous years

"And I only hear good things about game pass is it really that good ?"

>>>It is excellent. And it's the future, if only the morons at NFLUK could accept it, baseball fans get catered as a minority niche sport with MLBTV, NFL needs to be the same way. What is happening is the NFL is dangling Kirkwood and his numpties thE bogus carrot of an NFL franchise in London when all they're interested in is MERCH and GAMEPASS, which if you've noticed is getting advertised all over the shop. They are really pushing it, and they've made it cheaper.

The stupid Wenbley game and this franchise in London b******s is what is holding us back, NFLUK are barking up the wrong trees completely. Unsurprisingly I soon got banned on NFLUK for telling it like it is!!! - They're living in cloud cuckoo land, the NFL is having Kirkwood and his mobs pants down.

Also FOUR YEARS of the Jags - that's not going to get old very quickly is it?

With all that said, and considering this process has been a total farce and actually it's a total farce every time round, i'd be amazed if we don't get SKY on Sunday and Thursday, thought I would be surprised to see them fail on the opener.

But there's always streams. I'm not buying GP till I see what games are on live on SKY first, might wait till Oct, and FIFA 13 and Madden 13 are out soon!!!

Excited
