FINALLY - The MLB fantasy leagues, draft dates & times and fees for 2012

I'm gonna have to pull out of both leagues as I can't make either of the draft dates.  Didn't we usually draft on a Sunday?

Weren't these the dates arrived at after days of to and fro?

I'm not available on the 25th, so we'll draft the Veterans league this Sunday.

We'll draft the Auction league on 1st April (it seems appropriate, somehow) and ignore the Japanese games.

So, we have:

Veterans Sunday 18th March at 3pm ET
Auction Sunday 1st April at 3pm ET

Now, barring Zeeny's menstrual cycle, Jeter's needlework group and Ron's transgender therapy session, let's try to stick with these dates/times.

Get your entry fees in chaps, so I can make sure everybody who wants to be in is in and vice versa. The Vets' league was a 'reactivation' and not everyone has paid

I'll have a crack at actually setting out a set of rules tomorrow, Z. If we can agree them in time, we can possibly address K's problem. If you're in touch with him, can you see if he is available on the 'other' Sunday? Cheers.

Just replied on email Dave - happy to stick to these dates but if it makes no difference to any of the other vets draft only guys then Apr 1st is better for me. Plus if you can nail down those keeper rules!

Do u fancy setting the pre draft order like we have done in the past? I dont mind calling out the numbers or assigning teams a number if someone else wants to call it out.

Hope the vets draft time is now finally set , have just taken a precious days annual leave for it , so dont move it OR ELSE :-)

Would be good to have draft order in advance , makes planning strategy a little easier

Agree it would be nice, but doesnt really matter. I like Dave and fear that, with his age, we may be causing him undue stress .

I have written out a list of all the team names in the league in a random order with a number next to them (1-18). If someone wants to call out random numbers i can put up the team name corresponding to that list i have. My and o have done it this way before.

Unfortunately, BJ, you're picking immediately behind the widely acknowledged shrewdest fantasy baseball manager on BF.

Were it not for the obvious collusion of every other manager in the league, over many, many years, I would almost certainly have finished outside the bottom half more than once in the last eight years.

Quick question, if the last pick in the draft is interested in trading for 4th pick and if the commissioner allows it, I'm game.

I do think draft pick trading is a good idea, but I think we need to have settled on that option earlier than a few hours before the draft. Sorry, Z.

We'll put it in place next year, if the league and the commish approve.

Ok. I didn't mean pick trading(which is pretty complicated and a pain in the ass), but straight up draft position trading. Anyway, I should have offered earlier. I didn't bother looking at how **** picking close to top this year is.;o(

I agree, I can never deal with pick trading in other leagues I'm in and having to cope with it in this one wouldn't be my ideal choice, but trading the order would get my vote.

Does that mean just a straight swap? X has 4 and 33 and Y 18 and 19 and they agree to change positions with no other consideration?

as we use smaller rosters than 'standard' leagues hows about we use $30 less, which would A, speed things up and B, Keep values somewhere inline to what they are on standard 'cheet sheets'
