Will sign up for just the vets this year.

Expect a poor finish as am travelling round europe in july and august , hopefully will be way out in front by then :-)

if there's a general feeling that 14 isn't enough why don't we increase the roster sizes- stick in a CI, MI, an extra C and a couple of extra OF's ...or a combo?

What's the point of having 16-18 if they essentially become dormant teams because owners can't be arsed playing 6 weeks in?

IF any extra slots were added i wouldn't go overboard, maybe an extra OF and an extra UTIL

I'd be happy with that ...in a 14 man league that instantly takes 28 bats out of the FA pool ...let's see what the consensus is over next few days

I have a suggestion, which you may or may not like.

As both the keeper and the auction look like they might be a bit short of players, the auction could be scrapped, and players not in both (like me, zeeny, jeter?) transfer to the keeper (which is an auction anyway), giving two leagues, vets and keeper auction, with a full number of players.

I think that would be better than two auction leagues both with 13/14 players. Just my opinion.

I agree with Fen. We all come back year after year anyway. I would be more than happy to scrap this league and everyone move over to the Keeper.

Yes, just go ahead and do it before somebody comes up bitching about how it's not a good idea. When it happens I'll bitch back to increase the noise ratio so we could disregard any opposition. That's how democracy works anyway.

We're going ahead on CBS - it looks head and shoulders above ESPN for keeper purposes.

I'll send out the invites (and refund those of you who've now overpaid) and the constitution to all owners.

The draft will be on 22nd March at 2.30pm ET.

We have to pay for CBS, but I'll buy the first year's league to show you all the love

I have a bit of sore memories from the last time we used CBS. Uncle O probably does too. Not sure why are you all so fast to go for them again.

they are experts on the minor leagues so want to gain an advantage bby drafting someone from a single a coconut league that the rest of us have never heard of

Just in case you are serious that CBS has a bigger player universe. I'd gladly get a quote on a single player who is into the CBS pool and is not in the ESPN pool and will be revelant in the next 5 years.

as Z says, unless we`re going to full franchise mode - 18 + kept players or so per team, then moving to a cbs seems not worth it, especially with the (and substantial) added cost.
CBS DOES tend to have a bigger player universe - but who are these "extra" players ? - theyre minor leaguers probably with no hope of seeing mlb action anytime soon. ESPN already includes players who have any chance of seeing productive action at September call ups time.
If we are only going to keep 5 players or so I dont know why anyone would want even a high prospect who is 2-3 years away from the mlb level as a top 5 keeper.
For example, In a BEST case scenario IF this was last year would anyone want to have Bryce Harper (one of the best /highest rated prospects EVER seen) as a keeper pre 2011 season as 1 of 5 (or how many proposed keepers we`re having) kept players ? I highly doubt it.
I think Yahoo has in the past had trouble keeping up with some players being called up, but I dont think we`ve ever had this issue on ESPN.
