Forgive my ignorance, but why are the Houston Texans, top of the AFC on points difference, such a big price to win the Superbowl?

I am fully aware that I am a mug, and have backed the Baltimore Ravens on the advice of a drunken American I met the other day, but I'm interested to know all the same.

They're banged up with injuries, QB done for the season, lost their #1 receiver today, even if they win their div they'll have to go on the road twice if they;re to make superbowl and probably to New England, Pittsburgh or Baltimore, teams that play indoors will always be second favs on the road when going to North/East outdoor fields in January.

He's not got what it takes to lead his team to multiple road wins for me.
They already went to Baltimore and got smashed by 15 a few weeks back

Texans operate a 50-80 rule at Reliant stadium, if the temperature is forecast to be under 50 or over 80 the roof gets closed, they also close the roof if there's a threat of rain, Texans therefore do not play in a natural outdoors environment
