I know there aren't many spread players in here but I am looking for some advice. I had a lumpy buy of the Steelers on the superbowl index at 32 - thinking was they'd win the North, get a #1 or #2 seed and get to the conference game at the very least. Scoring goes like this: 20 Lose Wild Card 33 Lose Div Game 50 Lose Conference Championship 70 Lose Superbowl 100 Win Superbowl
Ravens have been in pole position in this div a few times this season, obviously twice when beating Steelers, but they've also managed to re-find their suicidal tendancies and have opened the door again for Steelers. I'm not convinced the Steelers are currently favs to win the North and their updated price on the index is 39-43 - now I didn't go for this bet to make 7 units but I'm surprised they've been pitched that high, would anyone here chop out or do I strap in ?

its pretty close mate and ravens have the breaker having swept the steelers, easy for me to say, but you've backed the steelers for a reason, i'd go for it

I think Steelers will finish season well and win division, but at worst they`ll get a Wild Card. They need to get to the AFC Championship Game for you to make any worthwhile profit, so I would take the 7 units profit and stick it on the Steelers to win the AFC @ 4/1. You would then have a bet to nothing and if they won that you would then have a 35 unit profit and could always put some of the winnings on them to win SB. Just a thought.

Got on the same spread @ 26 after the first game of the season. Massive overreaction by the market. I think you should let it ride, hard to see then not getting a wild card at worst. Could argue that they are faves for the AFC.
Anything else you like on the outright spreads? Dallas and Chicago interest me. But ive already got a Dallas division play, so will probably leave the former alone.

Thanks fellas. I think I'll leave it a week then make a call - Bungals have Ravens today so one of them them will fall behind, best scenario is if Bungals win then Steelers find themselves a game in front of Ravens and they face Bungals again in a couple of weeks.
Prophet - the only buy I'd think about is the Chargers at 16, still should win the West and would host a wildcard game (Jets, Pats, Ravens, Steelers) but our West they'd be favs for that, get into the div weekend and they make up 33 with the choice of getting out around 40+ I guess.
If you want to make the easiest point you'll ever see sell Eagles, I've looked at it all ways and they just don't make post season, that's a 1.01 shot to make up 0. They can't win the East, they could even win out and still not have a better record than Lions and Bears, they're a certainty for 0 for me...

They look the better side horse...a last gasp throw from flacco to smith saved the ravens v the steelers. beat the pats well also. I can only see the steelers losing 2 more games
