Lamichael James put himself back in the running (pardon the pun) for the Heisman with that performance. If he'd not missed a couple of games through injury he would be favourite imo.

There's a massive arb on the winner of the Heisman Trophy. Andrew Luck is still big odds on to win with Pinny (2.56 not to) and he is 2.7 to win with Paddy. Unfortunately I can't bet with Paddy !!!

Its basically a shambles. Corrupt people and computers decide who plays for the 'title'. Needs a playoff to make it at all relevant.

The participants are the two highest-ranked teams in the BCS standings at the end of the regular college football season, currently determined by averaging the results of the final weekly USA Today Coaches' Poll, Harris Interactive Poll of media, former players and coaches, and the average of six participating computer rankings. Things come into the equation like strength of schedule, winning margin etc. So called "style points". It is unfairly geared towords the bigger programmes from the powerhouse conferences. Any team with a winning record over the course of the year is "bowl eligible". There are 35 bowl games altogether with the majority of them being irrelevant exhibition games. They are money making exhibition for the programmes involved and are a gambling nightmare. |
