Was reading an article the other day. No AL team has ever gone 0-5 and made the World Series. Only ever happened twice in the NL too. No team had ever been 3-0 down in a pennant series before either...!
Of course, Reg is correct, a long way to go. My Brewers got off to an 0-4 start but it's nothing to worry about. Every team who made the playoffs last year had a 4-game losing streak at some point. I think that division is going to be fun to watch. Neither the Yanks or Sox have great pitching to go along with their impressive batting lineups, and Tampa can't hit. It's not inconceivable that Toronto or Baltimore could make a run at it. Indeed the O's would be leading the division if it were based on games played since Buck Showalter took over at the end of July last year. |
