never bet with your heart mate, so you have prob answered your own question!!! I think the Packers will win good luck whatever you decide

In order to halt a hot and accurate long-passer like Rogers, the Bears really need Peppers to come up big.
But he did not sack Rogers at all in the two regular season meetings, has not come up with a sack in his last three outings and has achieved only two sacks in 9 previous post-season games. He can, of course, disrupt the Packers in other ways, but I think the Bears best chance comes with the cold weather and a field in poor condition...when everything becomes a bit of a gamble. |

No wind expected...good to hear

also the weather looks like it will be perfect for january

cant decide , il prob decide just before the off and go with the packs on the handicap for a small interest in the game, been looking forward to it all week but like other threads have mentioned the price on offer for the packs is a tad on the skinny side.
At the mo im swinging towards the packs on the spread, have you lot decided what if any bets you are having on the game |

Weather reasonable for Jan
Chic Tribune: "Overnight temperatures were in the single digits, but things are expected to warm up as the day goes on. Expect highs between 15 and 19 degrees with wind chills of 5 to 15 below zero. That should be the temperature by the 2 p.m. kickoff of this afternoon's Chicago Bears-Green Bay Packers game at Solider Field -- cold enough that anyone attending should be sure to dress warmly." |

they said its ok weather for a throwing feast so that good enough for me

Also can't wait for this.
I'm heavily invested in the bears and not laying off for 1 reason. The packers are a better team but have a lack of dicipline and a poor coach. The times the packers have lost have been down to themselves this season and I have no reason to believe that it won't be the same here in a bitter rivalry with very high stakes |

good ,i rate cutler ..................whe he's on his feet so looking forward to a h2h duel with rodgers
|

lack of discipline?
|

Well im a big fan of how the pack are playing lately, but i just had to bet the bears here with the points. At home playing a team on a 3rd road game in a championship game and they both hate each other.
I think and kinda hope pack win su but had to take the bears. |

Harry
Last time the pack were here they gave away 18 pens for 152 yards!!! If that's not poor discipline I don't know what is |

d13phe......for a poor coach McCarthy has done an unbelievable job to get his team to the Championship game with all the injuries to his team.......There has been no complaining, no woe is me, no little digs anywhere.....the whole roster just stuck together and got on with it which is highly credible when you consider things like that can eat away at a locker room if not kept under control.
Don't know if it's correct or not but it was said that throughout the history of the game any franchise that had the equivilant number of injuries that Green Bay have had then the most number of games won by any of them teams is SIX. McCarthy sure has his faults but you can't call him a poor coach. |

Harry - bet neither with the heart or the gut, but your head should be saying Green bay !

Hami even....

Knew one of the packers fans would pick me up on that lol
You have a point about their injuries but the packers have under McCarthy been one of the most penalised team every year and penalties kill you. I think he is also reluctant to attack when winning. Poor is harsh but he isn't an elite coach by any means. I think he is lucky to have an elite QB. |
|
By:
what have you decided lads
|
|
By:
Close match, but the Packers will edge it.
|
|
By:
You're right about traditionally being a heavily penalised team but since that 18 flag game they have turned it right round to be one of the least penalised teams in the NFL......don't know the exact numbers but were in the top 5 with a week to go. |
|
By:
I also think the packers special teams hurts them.
That could be key in this game. Hester hurt them last time. That said if Rodgers gets time to throw, pack will win |
|
By:
Special teams is where i get scared

green bay too short imo
starting with chicago |
|
By:
Have backed the Bears, they look too big to me
lets hope it's a great nights football |
|
By:
Bears for me
|
|
By:
Green Bay -3.5 for me. Too big a discrepancy between this and the match odds. If they win it will be because Rodgers is able to fire and should put on a few points.

I think it will be close, (I thought it would be scratch)so he 3.5 is the decider.
Don't like giving up points away from home. |
|
By:
rodgers achieved over 272.5 11 out of 17 games this season
316 and 229 against bears this season. bears pass defence not the greatest and peppers hasn't really managed to get close to him so far... only worry is big lead and run, run, run |

if we r talking about coaches no big fan of tomlin here - gbay r the better side -
the variables r the pitch which could create probs for the receivers and special teams where gbay r weak imo and hester is very dangerous so they could lose the field position battle fancy cutler to be on his backside a fair bit - not keen on gbay current price mind |
|
By:
tomlin is the steelers boh
wrong game |
|
By:
IVE decided to go with the Bears from the start. Backing with my head as many have told me to do here
