College Blowout Game Of The Year 1000 Units Cornhuskers (14-4) -3.5 over RED RAIDERS (8-11) Prediction: Cornhuskers by 17-18 Starting Time: 7:30 Comments: I don’t want to kick a team when it’s down but Texas Tech has to be one of the biggest busts of the entire basketball season. Here is a team that returned all five starters from last year’s 19-16 team and are almost non-competitive against the good teams on their schedule—and Nebraska is certainly a very good team. As noted in the past Texas Tech is getting blown out at home and on the road but blue-chip teams. For instance in three of its last four games—all losses—it went down at Kansas State, 94-60 last Saturday, and in the two games before that—both played at home—the Red Raiders lost to Texas by 31 points, 83-52, and at home to Baylor by 12 points, 71-59. You can run the Texas Tech schedule from top to bottom and quickly realize it is not beaten a legitimate team all season. The Red Raiders eight wins have come against Delaware State, Texas A&M-CC, Texas-Arlington, Oral Roberts, Georgia Southern, Liberty, Stephen F. Austin State and LA-Monroe—all at home. Texas Tech is 0-7 on the road. As for Nebraska, the Cornhuskers are 12-2 in their last 14 games and those two losses came at 18-0 Kansas, 63-60, and at 16-3 Missouri, 77-69. This is a talented, coach-to-the-minute team in high gear, is one of the most improved teams in the country, comes to play and takes no prisoners. It should be a long night for the Red Raiders.
