if you lose 5 or 6 games at the start of next year, you should just tank the rest of the season to get him. Going to be v.special.

Possibly, but they're massive gambles

For all the intangibles that a quarterback may display in college, more often than not, they wind up resembling nothing remotely close to their former selves at the NFL level. Now I get it. NFL defenses are more complex and aggressive than their collegiate counterparts.

From 1998-2008, quarterbacks were taken first overall eight times. Those eight QBs have been to 15 Pro Bowls collectively. Nine by Peyton Manning alone. Peyton is also the only MVP winner of the bunch too.

In fact, if you include all 28 quarterbacks drafted in the first round during the same time period, Manning is still the only MVP of the bunch. Worse yet, only three of the 28 have gone on to win a Super Bowl (Peyton, Eli and Big Ben).

Thought the opposing QB in the bowl game showed more quality on the day. All Luck had to do was find the open receiver Silly

Fair play to him though as he appears to be prepared to lose out financially with the imminent rookie cap...
