I'll be disappointed if they don't beat the Jets but Steelers away in January is a tough tough game for anyone
After that, they are the only AFC team one that I can't see beating the Patriots away (Steelers, Colts, Ravens, & Jets could all beat Patriots in New England). Having said that Cassel would love a shot at New England. If they get help on other side of draw from Ravens/Colts then the 40.0 is too big |

Jets will get another thrashing in new england if they have to go back....they get no pressure on the QB.brady will have a field day AGAIN.

the defensive coordinator has had experience of working with Brady/ bellchik and cassell as well. It has to be an advantage and their running game is built to keep the other QB off the field. I just think they could be a bit if a supruse package.

May be worth a small bet..jets are the team you want in youre 1st game

I've been a Chiefs fan for years and as Harry has spotted, we had a seriously weak schedule this year.
We have an outstanding running game, a decent TE and a seriously decent WR in Bowe if his head is in the right place. McCluster will be better next year and can make his mark. In Berry and Flowers we have some outstanding talent inteh secondary, but, our O-line is still average and not sure the line get enough pressure on opposing QBs, anyone watching the Chargers game 2/3 weeks ago would have thought we're a 2-13 team. Sadly I think we go one and out, but next year we'll be a serious superbowl contender |

Tough schedule for Chiefs next year
6 x Division games (obviously) vs AFC East (Patriots, Jets, Dolphins, Bills) vs NFC North (Packers, Bears, Lions, Vikings) vs Steelers (or Ravens if a miracle next weekend) & vs Colts (or Jaguras if another miracle next weekend) |

Interesting...chiefs fans must be pleased with the season...always a danger thinking the next season will be even better but if the schedule is so much harder they may struggle.

We're a young team but when I look at where we were at last year compared to now the improvement is immense.
I still think Cassel is a weak link, if we were down by 7 at the 2 min warning and backed up on our own 20 there are probably a dozen QB's I'd rather have take us downfield. Granted a tough schedule but the division isn't that strong, the Fins and Bills scare no-one, Jets are inconsistent and beatable, Vikes are gone, Lions also inconsistent - only teams there that concern me are Pats, Pack and Steelers/Ravens, but we will be stronger and better placed to go places like Heinz/Foxboro and compete |

u will get a warm welcome at heinz field like all teams do [;)]

Arrowhead no different my friend

so ive heard kansas 1 of the few places ive not been, nothing wrong with talking up your own team i do it all the time GL in the play-offs there wide open imo.

Not sure a QB is a weak link if a dozen QBs is ahead of him. Cassel has a decent arm, good mobility, good decision-maker. Not a QB you build your team with but a great QB to build a team around and Chiefs has a team for the future.
I really like McCluster and he could be a +80 catch man in the future, Moeaki looking good too. And the new contract with Charles was great, maybe JC2K in the future... can't see it this year, but they are fearless and all round...Berry is the most talented db in several years imho |

got something good going there,
made the play offs without running charles into the ground like some teams do with their top rb cassel a solid nfl qb who doesn't make many mistakes afc west is looking decent |

Well im a huge chiefs fan for many years now and really hope we get the jets out off the possible teams, whoever we get it wont be an easy game.
My concern is the weak scedh we have had, i know we have put some off the teams away well, but it sticks in my mind that their is a chance we may not have beat anyone with a winning record this season. I know you can only beat who is infront off you but maybe that gives myself horse and other chief fans false promise. Horse has highlighted our main strengths and weaknesses, i have the same concerns on cassel but boy he has had a very good season with not many weapons to work with. I just pray we finally win a playoff game again, its been a long time and to do it at arrowhead will be one amazing atmosphere and not a place id want to play in as a road dog. |

I dont think its that relevant what their schedule is next season....yes its been piss easy this season,do i think they would of made the playoffs with a schedule like the packers?NO...at least they are going in the right direction, they have a solid base to become a very good team though.

steel curtain - cheers
Harry - we've had years on the floor, at one point last season we had a worse 3 year record than the Lions ! Re Cassel, he's had better protection this year, not great but better, I feel he is the sort of QB who needs that extra half second in the pocket than the elite, yes he has an arm when he's got the protection but I think the likes of Manning, Brady, Rivers, Brees and a few others can make the decision and execute the play that bit quicker than Cassel. I love how Haley has brought Jamaal along this yar, slowly but surely, absolute master stroke bringing in Jones. Moeki will be a serious TE, only een the rookie at Foxboro (Hernandez) who looks as good. Flowers and Berry really are awesome, I just wish someone could get to the bottom of Bowe. Allow us our moment in the sun guys, there've been a few dark days in recent seasons ! |

Yeah cant argue with any off that, protection has been alot better, the sacks are down so much, also the defensive side getting the pressure on more than recent seasons, hali aswell as flowers and berry are top notch players on defence.
Moeaki is a great find and is a big unknown weapon we have in the passing game. I think bowe is down to lack off concentration at times he loves the big play and maybe he thinks its abit easy at times and takes his eyes off the ball. Definatly improved though this season after haleys chat with him. Dorsey and jackson have come on alot on the dline aswell and hopefully next season they will flourish in the system. |
