Falcons actually
Report reekmakeek December 16, 2010 4:52 PM GMT
but falcons won earlier in the year against saints, that would be 1 win each
Report db1974 December 16, 2010 4:53 PM GMT
Falcons have a better common games record than the Saints (11-1 vs 10-2)
Report Nilsson Schmilsson December 16, 2010 4:54 PM GMT
me wrong again Cry

thought the saints had won for some reason [smiley:crazy]

If the saints win out and falcons lose to the saints they are bang level in everything..then it gets tricky...look at the common games...saints will of lost to cleveland and arizona...atlanta defeated both....ATLANTA lost to philadelphia and pittsburgh....SAINTS beat both of these teams...then it goes to conference...both lost to an AFC and an NFC team...its a nightmare Laugh
Report HARRY22 December 16, 2010 5:16 PM GMT
i reckon it may go as far as the quality of team u have beat then saints will get in with wins over philly and pitts, which doesnt seem fair as they have lost to crappy arizona and cleveland...its a mind scrambler [smiley:crazy]

The quick way to do it is to look at the non-common games which are the 2 games against the 2 teams in the Divisions where you only play one team from that division.

So NFC South played the NFC West so we need to look at the games against teams in NFC East & North

Falcons would be 13-3. They beat Packers but lost to Eagles. Take away 1-1 against Saints & the 1-1 from NFC East & North and that leaves 11-1 in common games

Saints would also be 13-3. They beat Cowboys & Vikings. Take away 10-1 against Falcons & the 2-0 from non-common games and that leaves 10-2 in common games.

Falcons win

Apologies db i dont know why the feck i had the saints playing the eagles lol...that was last season..the years fly by Laugh
Report HARRY22 December 16, 2010 6:02 PM GMT
NFC EAST ATLANTA 0-1  SAINTS 1-0
NFC WEST ATLANTA 4-0  SAINTS 3-1
NFC NORTH ATLANTA 1-0 SAINTS 1-0

AFC NORTH ATLANTA 3-1 SAINTS 3-1 (IF THEY BEAT RAVENS)

6 games v division teams both 5-1... so it goes to atlanta??
Report HARRY22 December 16, 2010 6:04 PM GMT
so it goes off nfc west in the end yeah?

I'm sure Big Kev will clear this all up if they both end 14-2. Cool

Good old NFC West, finally good for something, although we still have Seattle to play yet Shocked

Wish they would simply go for 'goal difference' like our soccer system.  That would make a lot of 4th quarters more interesting and everyone would be playing hard for the full 60 mins.

Half the teams in football now play for nil all every week now.  Its a case of don't lose rather than going out to try score as many as you can.  The less similiarities the NFL has with football the better

Anyhow, Seattle to beat Atlanta on SundayGrin
