Who keeps backing the 49ers into favs. They have been favs nearly every week because all I see in this game is a terrible team against an average team who are good at home.
Two poor teams and you would have to be brave to bet on either of them with any confidence.
I'd probably have the prices the other way around, but either way the match screams no bet.

49ers have owned the Cards the last 3 years when they had Warner.
49ers won 3 of the last 5, Cardinals lost 5 straight. 49ers deserved favourites even on the road.

I dont think either team can be relied upon, but think the niners have much more good players and this could be the game they live up to their hype. The main difference between the teams is defence. Arizona will struggle to get larry fitz involved, but if he does then niners may lose their sixth straight away game. That said , with the current team and qb for arizona I think niners can treble cover him and patrick willis to stop run. niners by over 12 i reckon, but not one to go heavy on.

Well, a weekend in Vegas stag party of sport (flicking between football and kicking the Aussies around the Gabba at 3am ... really?) ends with someone finding a turd in the punch bowl. And there it is, floating among the fruit, the 49ers at the Cards. Horrible.
The complete absence of quarterbacking means that, if you must take an interest, go with the 49ers, simply because they have the edge with skill players who can match up better. Arizona is nice out wide, but Anderson has to get it there and he couldn't hit a wide open barn door from a yard out. Also, although inconsistent, SF does have a pass rush to speak of. The 49ers are tough against the run, but Wells and Hightower are broken and below par respectively, so it doesn't really matter.
Frank Gore should be the key to this game; he's put up good numbers against the Cardinals before and should do so tonight against the league's 29th ranked run defense. If Smith needs to change it up, he can do it against a passing defense that is almost as awful as the run D (Arizona have given up the most yards through the air in the NFL in their last 3) again though, he'll need to get it there - Smith does at least have the arm for it.
These teams are unpredictable and home dogs on MNF are traditionally bankroll killers, so keep stakes to an absolute minimum.
Pick: SF -2 (1pt)
Pick: Anytime TD SF Defense 4/1 (1pt)

a good test of the PROpunters vs the mug gamblers. this is such an obvious no bet, and you wouldn't touch it with a barge pole if it were one of the several 6pm's or 9pm's. but the mugs will still have a bet just because it's on

Iv backed Frank Gore to score anytime and first, got a little 1.6 and 1.7 on here, seems short to me but I looked at oddschecker and 1/3 in places!! Dont normally do this type of bet but just think he has a good record v cards and there run defence not the best so if in red zone would hope they'd run it. Whats others views on these types of bets?

GVL is right, this is a no bet game. However I've got tomorrow off work and I'm gonna take a small interest. Only spin I can put on this game is that I think my cash is safer with the Coaching staff of the Cards rather than what I've seen of San Fran this season.
Arizona +1.5

The 49ers are a great bet on my book. In all the stats (Offense & Defense)they are well clear on my book. I've gone in had a good bet on the 49ers at average 1.86 in the match odds

By the numbers, it's a no-brainer, but when a team reeks, they can't be trusted. Throw MNF into the mix and it's a bowl of popcorn and a coke and try to finish the crossword with a couple of quid on.
Anyhoo, good luck, chaps

the nugget 29 Nov 10 20:33 49ers have owned the Cards the last 3 years when they had Warner.
They also had Boldin, Dansby, Rolle. For some reason the 49ers have just owned the crads in recent years

Saints were pretty shocking for a few weeks earlier on. Brees was spraying interceptions everywhere and they couldn't run the ball for toffee. Got the issues resolved on their bye week.

Just to complete the record, and put this , and myself to bed.
I've never seen that much of Anderson - - - Absolutely dreadful.

That was a pleasing result. I could not believe the 49ers were over 1.85 on here. As stated earlier they were well clear in all stats. As someone stated earlier, "A winner is a winner and doesn't matter what the standard is"

well done the winners, but i would dispute that statement. the lower the standard the greater variability hence the greater the risk i'd say. a bit like playing the ftse100 or the usm.

Just watched the game and it was bleedin' awful - I could barely watch. In the end, I was fast-forwarding to every time the Cardinals had the ball because it was so funny watching Anderson. The last 3 and out, when he bounced the pass 5 yards short of his receiver had me laughing out loud.
Guys like Ken Whisenhunt and Larry Fitz and the fans deserve better than that, but hey, I'm a Redskins fan!
