Browns +3 vs Jets
Lions +3 @ Bills

I'd be wary of betting against the Cowboys (esp against the spread) this week with a new coach in place

I think this will be a one-score game and the Boys might even nick it
Report middles-for-dough November 9, 2010 2:24 PM GMT
the ny football giants will abs smash these with kitna still behind the centre and while i almost always take the + on double td spreads i may take that for ny

cleveland have officially had the hardest start to the nfl season and it continues this weekend.. ill be playing the browns.. hopefully jets backers MAY force that line up a little.

Falcons -1.5 are a play against Baltimore this week. Home advantage the key and Falcons playing a brand of Football that is confident to bet on.
Buffalo and Detroit are very close and -2 is tempting. Detroit could win this so backing them with is an option.
Indianapolis at home are huge! They will certainly not be beaten but will they comfortably cover 7.5? Owens has had a huge 5 game run and maybe about to run out of steam and Lucas Field is a place where runs come to an end! If pushed Colts to cover.
Browns +3.5 is another potential rick. Jets are strong and with purpose but Browns are on an upward curve with covering the spread the last two games played. Jets went five weeks covering and have not covered since they rested in week7. Reluctantly Browns +3.5
Texans at Jacksonville is interesting. All year the Houston outfit has only covered the spread twice! The Jaguars even though they have failed to ignite have covered four of the last five games! Only the defeat to the Eagles in Week 3 was their only time not to cover at home. Jaguars
Bears +1 against the limping Favre and his Vikes. Bears all day long! Getting to the point in the season when Brett runs out of gas and the Vikes have nothing to fall back on. A lucky escape last week but it aint gonna happen at Soldier Field!
Miami and Tennesse are a coin toss according to the pros. I think that Miami at home against a Titan team that are able to self implode is enough. Miami is a lock.
Tampa -8 is a little flattering against the Panthers. Tampa have not covered the spread at home yet this year but have done it every time on the road! The Panthers have played 8 times and only covered twice all year. Buccs are at home and have been on the road for the last two games. The -8 is tempting but there are better lines out there.
Kansas at Denver is a classy game that I think for the purists will be a cracker. I think that Kansas are the real deal and can absorb all the Broncos are gonna throw at em. Kansas straight for me.
The Rams going to San Francisco is a Jeckyl and Hyde type scenario. If Singeltary and the 49'er's show up it will be a train wreck but this Rams team can upset if the "other" San Francisco arrive. Best stay away.
Giants -14 has to be taken on! The Cowboys are stink but as has been said with a change of coach invariably comes an effort. Divisional game, history and a coach change. Dallas +14
Arizona -3 against Seattle is also a puzzle. Seattle are no joke and have competed this year but have not covered on the road yet. Arizona has covered only twice this year and one of them was against the Vikings in a lunatic collapse! A fraction of the Seattle home form away should win this. Seattle straight looks the one.
Steelers at home is usually gone by and with only four points to cover you have to be confident but its the Brady show and anything can happen when these boys are in town! On the back of that lose to Cleveland the backlash is expected. Stay away for me!
Monday night and we get the game of the week in my opinion! Washington have been pretty good this year but with Philadelphia getting back the phenom that is DeSean Jackson it looks like an away win for the Eagles. Philly -3 is good enough..

Therefore the Accum for the week looks like..........
Atlanta -1.5, Chicago +1, Miami Dolphins straight and Kansas City straight.

I had to shake my head and look again when I seen Texans were underdogs to Jacksonville.

Arizona giving up 3 has the look of a massive play for me.
Not the greatest team in the league and nowhere near as threatening from the Warner/Boldin days, but I love this bet on the basis of Seattle being an average side turned very poor side now they have a sub standard QB.
The Cards haven't been a great deal better but it's worth remembering that they've only played 3 home games this year (2-1), Seattle are 1-3 from their four road games with a points ratio of -61 and all with Hasselbeck in.
All things point to a very comfortable Cards win and I expected this line to be around 8, 3 has the look of a giveaway to me.

i forgot about that one horse... correct and ppl will look past them as they arent a 'sexy' pick

Does anyone else like the Ravens tomorrow ?
I rate them the best team in the league right now, Jets have shown their frailties and the Steelers have put in the odd soft performance, no-one else has played as consistently well as the Ravens for me this season.
Falcs rank 26 against the pass and with Flacco finding form this year and now having some decent weapons in Boldin, Housh, Mason and Heap, I think the Ravens will get it done through the air and stuff out the Falcs offence.
2.04 but only small around, evens with High St bookies
Report middles-for-dough November 11, 2010 4:26 AM GMT
i like the ravens against anyone to be honest.

Mate i thought it was a mistake! This is the best bet ive seen all year!

Atlanta put up a huge performance last night and covered against a resolute Ravens. Flacco is starting to show why they have placed so much trust in him but the blips are still there. Ryan is a class QB and is moving up the ranks with each game but as was pointed out the home venue was the key in this game. Ryan now is 18-1 in the Dome now..
No team will want to have to travel to Georgia come play off time.....
Roll on the weekend and best of luck...

its a puzzle nobody can put together...im hoping its the chargers, few big names still to come back, they say you need to run the football to open up the passing game, the chargers seem to do this without a running game Grin
Report SteelCurtain November 13, 2010 8:29 PM GMT
fair point about the chargers, & yes it is puzzle only thing i would say is the superbowl winner will come from the AFC, jets pats ravens chargers STEELERS take your pick its wide open.
Report HARRY22 November 13, 2010 8:35 PM GMT
On the other side of the ball (nfc). i cant go as far as saying the winner will come from the afc as it all comes down to 1 game and with no outstanding team it makes it harder...ive tool the saints in the nfc, just hoping reggie bush can stay healthy.  They have a good chance of having home field still. who do you like from the nfc?  ive taken the eagles also being a fan i had tooGrin
Report SteelCurtain November 13, 2010 9:05 PM GMT
dont follow nfc as much as i do the afc, i like blue collar football so will go for the packers if that makes sense got a friend in NO who thinks they will repeat !!!!!

Indianapolis at home are huge! They will certainly not be beaten but will they comfortably cover 7.5? Owens has had a huge 5 game run and maybe about to run out of steam and Lucas Field is a place where runs come to an end! If pushed Colts to cover. Didn't cover but it was to be avoided
Browns +3.5 is another potential rick. Jets are strong and with purpose but Browns are on an upward curve with covering the spread the last two games played. Jets went five weeks covering and have not covered since they rested in week7. Reluctantly Browns +3.5 It was with reluctance but Jets just manage to cover by 4
Texans at Jacksonville is interesting. All year the Houston outfit has only covered the spread twice! The Jaguars even though they have failed to ignite have covered four of the last five games! Only the defeat to the Eagles in Week 3 was their only time not to cover at home. Jaguars The most commented on game and virtually everybody wanted the Texans!
Bears +1 against the limping Favre and his Vikes. Bears all day long! Getting to the point in the season when Brett runs out of gas and the Vikes have nothing to fall back on. A lucky escape last week but it aint gonna happen at Soldier Field! Correct
Miami and Tennesse are a coin toss according to the pros. I think that Miami at home against a Titan team that are able to self implode is enough. Miami is a lock. Miami was a lock and they skate home
Better out there but Buccs cover
Kansas at Denver is a classy game that I think for the purists will be a cracker. I think that Kansas are the real deal and can absorb all the Broncos are gonna throw at em. Kansas straight for me. So wrong it was embarrassing! Cost me
The Rams going to San Francisco is a Jeckyl and Hyde type scenario. If Singeltary and the 49'er's show up it will be a train wreck but this Rams team can upset if the "other" San Francisco arrive. Best stay away. 3 pt game and was best stay away from
Giants -14 has to be taken on! The Cowboys are stink but as has been said with a change of coach invariably comes an effort. Divisional game, history and a coach change. Dallas +14 The Big Texas Star comes good! Correct

Steelers at home is usually gone by and with only four points to cover you have to be confident but its the Brady show and anything can happen when these boys are in town! On the back of that lose to Cleveland the backlash is expected. Stay away for me! A backlash was a comin and Pittsburgh get turned over in Heinz Field! Correct to stay away
Monday night and we get the game of the week in my opinion! Washington have been pretty good this year but with Philadelphia getting back the phenom that is DeSean Jackson it looks like an away win for the Eagles. Philly -3 is good enough..

Therefore the Accum for the week looks like..........
