Clearly the Cowboys are going to be picking early in the first round.Do they need to pick a QB? I watch the college stuff on ESPN but am probably looking at EA too much....are there any quality QBs in their final years?
Why would they need a new QB? Tony Romo might choke in some big games but he is a top 10 QB atleast. Their whole team is skilled which means it must be the coaches' problem. If they could improve anywhere it would be their secondry or middle linebacking core. Greg Jones ILB out of Michigan State would be a great pick if they are in the top 10.

CJ, the reason why the running game is shyte is because of the offensive line, nothing to do with the running backs.
As someone who doesn't like the Cowboys i would be quite happy for them to waste a top 16 pick on a RB.

they are just an overrated team by the media back in the US.. they were the season before..
and romo is a flat track bully QB imo. his record in the play offs speak for itself if you ask me. not good enough and its taken him years to even start to win in december.

Main needs are OL and arguably both safety positions.(Not to mention kicking Wade Phillips fat a*** out of there)
Romo continues to get more than his fair share of the blame for anything that goes wrong in Dallas - whether that's naivety of the critics or something else I'm not sure.
The team have been ill disciplined and erratic - they do tend to get over rated in the US media but equally with the exceptions of the areas mentioned they have decent talent levels at virtually every other position and should clearly be playing above their current level.

hasnt proved ANYTHING to anyone whether press or fans or critics yet. i dont think wade phillips is the man to coach but then thats the owners fault, he wants a yes man who he can bully and he has one. who has no control over his teams indiscipline..
but romo has won how many play offs with a team that ppl continue to tout every season as the one to beat? has an horrific december/january record doesnt he? the very good quarterbacks show up when needed.. i dont think romo is in the top 8 quarterbacks in the league to be honest
brady brees manning rivers roethlisberger manning- eli (imo) rodgers mcnab
all better and i sure there is some i have forgot off the top of my head.
decent teams can carry an average qb even to a superbowl success but usually only once.. good quarterbacks carry teams further than they should i think.. and romo plainly cant/doesnt do it for whatever reason so a change in the most important position in the team wouldnt hurt them ...

I think it's difficult to argue that a team is over rated and then blame the QB for not getting more out of them when they've been to the playoffs 3 out of his 4 seasons as a starter.
I think he's a solid top 10 QB certainly not elite. The December record was shown up last season as just another meaningless tv stat, winning 3 straight at the end of last season (one in Jan) followed by a playoff win over the Eagles suggested there wasn't much evidence for end of season collapse in performances.
His playoff record 1-3 maybe a more worthy one to look at in time though I think it's a smallish sample (Peyton only 9-9 btw) - he was lucky not be killed against the Vikings in last seasons playoff loss such was the protection he got.
If you get in a position to take an absolute stand out QB in the draft then there will virtually always be some value in taking the player but as many have found it's a pretty tough call to pick the right ones (Couch, Brady Quinn, Alex Smith, Vince Young etc) and personally think it makes far more sense for a team looking at a rebuild than one that rightly or wrongly thinks it has most of the pieces in place....maybe come the ned of the season Dallas will feel that time has come but personally I'll be dissapointed if they take that route (if they were to get the chance).
