why? i hear you cry. a little snippet from espn's preview has persuaded me ....
"Three times this season, Phil Hughes gave up at least 6 earned runs in a game. In looking at his next start after each of those games, he was unable to post a quality start (6 IP, 3 ER). In those 3 starts, he had an ERA of 6.00. Of the 18 total hits he allowed in those 3 starts, 7 were home runs, which could be an issue tonight considering the Rangers have already hit 16 HR in this postseason." i'll buy that  |
