What a QB...how many times does he take them down field....Anyone see the play by play on this match?? Laugh  falcons lose ball...niners run it down looking to score a TD..huge play by roddy white to get back to clements and force a fumble..atlanta recover on own 7...matt ryan takes them down for the FG...class act

cool customer under pressure considering how long he has been in the NFL
Report Lifetaker October 3, 2010 9:12 PM BST
they needed it to level peg with saints [;)]
Report HARRY22 October 3, 2010 9:13 PM BST
saints struggled again
Report lee_arama October 3, 2010 9:14 PM BST
Jaysus the +13 on Carolina was like free money, in every sense. I am correct, I think, in saying the Saints have failed to beat the handicap in all 4 games so far?
Report HARRY22 October 3, 2010 9:15 PM BST
yes correct
Report Lifetaker October 3, 2010 9:17 PM BST
I'm Happy that others have failed to notice what the saints were doing,

I thought Matt Ryan played like crap today.  Guess I'm in the minority.
Report HARRY22 October 3, 2010 9:21 PM BST
yes ur...its how u finish when the pressure is on and he delivered
Report Lifetaker October 3, 2010 9:32 PM BST
That's the thing with NFL. the way the game is played it's for the BOOKIES & True Gambler's
Report incaseof October 3, 2010 9:37 PM BST
He could be, but the game pretty much was over after the interception...Roddy White saved him today with the forced fumble.
Report HARRY22 October 3, 2010 9:39 PM BST
yes he did i mentioned that but to do it all over again from his own 7..superb clock management
Report Saluting Darren Lockyer October 3, 2010 9:41 PM BST
looked to me like the 49rs lost it as opposed to the falcons winning it,i like ryan but look at kyle ortons numbers in the last 2 weeks !
Report HARRY22 October 3, 2010 9:48 PM BST
yes 49ers blew it late being stripped  but this happens week in week out...its how he finished...agree with orton lockyer...backed denver today and had a few quid on them for the superbowl..massive price last week and they are playing well...underrated
Report Lifetaker October 3, 2010 10:24 PM BST
Moral ; here is, as I always say 'Put the points on the board & make them Chase' leaving the game to the last 2 mins of play, where SKILLLUCK good/bad or a MISTAKE takes the Win from you is : " F O O L I S H "

Matt Ryan is a very cool customer and played really well in his only play off defeat to Arizona two years ago. However he is a pretty much at his ceiling now, cannot see how he will improve much further. Bit too much of a check down merchant for me atm. Still establishing him comfortably in the tier 2 QB league.
Report wanna_b_pro November 13, 2010 12:33 PM GMT
I agree, comfortably a 2nd tier QB. I think thats 11 game winning 4thQ drives in his career though. That is extreemly impressive!
Report HARRY22 November 13, 2010 1:11 PM GMT
Its very impressive...is that 18-1 now at home?

I dont think he will get the MVP this year, i do think he will reach that level at some point,he is super cool under pressure, take matt on one hand and cutler on the other Grin

Quick mention for flacco,he seems to be more impressive when the ravens are behind
Report good value losers November 13, 2010 4:31 PM GMT
i get the impression he doesn't connect with many of his deep throws so hard to get excited about. cool, efficient, but not as yet inspirational.
Report HARRY22 November 13, 2010 5:22 PM GMT
Look at his 1st year,u could say that was more impressive...it would be hard for anyone so young to be inspirational at an early stage of his career...it seems their is more people talking about ryan than eli manning who has already won a superbowl.

do u think rivers will be denied MVP if the chargers dont make the playoffs? even though he could and probably will break marinos record?
