If Coombes is the answer, I don't know the question.
At least Carlsen doesn't bully Imlach and I don't get the impression Imlach would stand for it if he attempted.

Mike knows his stuff (most of the time) but he desperately wants to be a 'crack up'.
Unfortunately, he has all the endearing comic quality of a pissed off rottweiler and his attempts just grate after a while - it must be an absolute nightmare to work with, so that might explain Imlach's slightly pained delivery.
Still, as with terrestrial MLB coverage, I just hit mute when the two stooges are on and at least we're getting some football.

Agree about Mike. He switches from being mr serious to a kid in a sweet shop in seconds, and always talks over the presenter. Personally I reckon they've sedated Imlach, so he doesn't poke mikes eyes out in the break.

I think the C4 coverage is better than Sky's by a good bit..especially the graphics packages etc before the game and highlights.
Also the lack of commercials between plays is a big plus.

murphinator1 knows. Imlach is a highly respected sports journalist and Carlson won`t dare take the p*ss, like he did with Coombes.
But I think that`s good. I want to hear Carlson analysing (which incidentally he`s very good at) not telling jokes (which he`s useless at).
