EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The NFL has announced Monday night's game between the Baltimore Ravens and New York Jets, originally scheduled for 7 p.m., will be delayed a minimum 30 minutes because of lightning.

The Meadowlands stadium is empty as of this posting.

Fans have been ordered out of the stands and into the concourse areas, and there are no players on the field warming up.

A steady rain has been falling, which would make this the first wet game on the new FieldTurf. Drainage should not be an issue in a $1.6 billion stadium, but we'll see how slick the carpet stays.

new predicted start time is 00.25am UK time , just said on countdown show and the warm up has just begun

raven for me s.u, did say i wasn't going to bet but tbh the late game i can see the chargers blowing especially as no vincent jackson and no shawn merriman. KC have a good attack with jamaal charles/dwanyne bow and matt cassell
