Right lads think its time for some ante post selections for the season. Out of the 8 divisions 3 bets stand out for me and i'll give a quick summary why.

AFC North; Bengals 7-2ish
If Benson the beast can run the ball like last year they have a wicked good chance of retaining this division.
Palmer was nowhere near his best last year and should be better this year.
Now i know TO inevitably brings baggage but as long as he has a decent QB he can still be quite productive. Throw in Ocho on the other side and they will be a handful for anyone.
Solid enough defence with excellent covering corners.
Other in the division, Steelers without Ben for min 6 games and huge loss of Holmes to the Jets could just be too much for them. Cleveland are in rebuilding mode, and i cant quite fathom why Baltimore are so short for this division, i know they got Boldon and Rice is a serious runner and obviously have an ultra solid defence but they are a shade odds on while Cinncy are 7-2, the value is obvious for me

NFC East: Cowboys 27-20ish
Hard to find any flaws with them. Excellent QB in Romo,
Barber and a fit Jones is a fearsome two pronged running attack.
Austin came of age last year at receiver, still not sure about Williams but when their rookie is fit again he looks decent and they still have Crayton.
Defence has been very sound the last couple of years.
But the main reason for liking them is the strength, or lack of, of their opposition, Philly, with Kobb starting this year, could be in for a long season, Mcnabb and Westbrook gone who have been the spine of their offence for the last decade or so. The Cowboys absolutely tore them apart a couple of times last year and they simply can't turn all that around in one year. Washington will obviously improve this year with all the changes but it's asking a lot to be challenging the cowboys this year. They've no number 1 receiver and i think Portis, Parker and Johnson have all seen better days at running back. The Giants will be the biggest challengers. There will be a lot of new faces on the defence after the way they finished last year and they will be better. Decent enough offence and will probably win 10 or so games but will still be a couple short of Dallas

NFC South; Falcons 21-10ish
Finished 9-7 last year even with Ryan missing 4 or 5 games mid season and their defence not being the most solid.
If their defence is sorted this year they will be a tough nut to crack in the south.
Ryan is the future, he looks so poised and calm in the pocket, he has really impressed me.
In Gonzalez at T/E and Roddy White at receiver he has 2 serious weapons to throw to and on top of that throw in a fully fit Turner running the ball, they;ll score plenty of points.
In terms of the opposition i think the Saints will have a serious Super Bowl hangover, They've a much tougher schedule and it's asking a lot for Sharper to have a good a year as he did last year. They'll score plenty again but i think they'll concede quite a lot too. Carolina will be solid again defensively but have no quarter back and only Smith to throw the ball to. Probably have the best running back combo in the league in Wiiliams and Stewart but that won't be enough. Tampa will improve from last year but for a young team are still a year or two off challenging for the division. The Saints at 1-2 or so i think is waaaaay under priced. Atlanta 21-10 has to be backed

Anyone agree or disagree??

Disagree with all 3 tbh

Ravens are a lock for the AFC North and potential Superbowl winners imo
Hard to see past the Saints for the NFC South
NFC East is wide open and I'm not sure Dallas are as good as advertised

"Wicked good chance", you say?

I think there is fair reasoning behind all of them, but I haven't studied it enough yet myself. Certainly, at the prices stated, the Bengals must be value.

Have a phobia when it comes to Dallas, but they did seem to come of age somewhat late last year

Cinny - Why do you think Palmer will be better this year?  Hes looked garbage in preseason.  Hes definatley not the player he was.  I do like T.O for a big year though, i think hes being undervalued at the moment.

If Pittsburgh go 2-4 or 3-3 till Ben gets back, i wouldnt write them off, theyre just too good a team.  Baltimore finally have a good offense, and its their division to lose, and thats where my money is.

I have cinny a shade over 3/1 (and wouldnt touch 7/2 personally), but its not a bad bet.

Cowboys - I think you have to make them favorites, but they are too short for me.  Look at their schedule...its brutal.  On the road at houston, vikings, green bay and indy, as well as the division games.  Gonna be tested.  You have to worry about the pass protection after that vikes game, and I know its only preseason, but theyve looked pretty shaky so far.... Giants should rebound and be closer to the team that started 5-0(?) last year then the mediocre outfit that finished the season.  Philly rely on Kolb being good...but if he is, watch out.  In the end though, I like Washington as the value pick, and will be hitting them on the division spreads when available

Atlanta - 2/1 looks right to me, and Im considering getting involved in them.  If they have better luck injury wise, they will contend for the division.  Saints cant be so fortunate with turnovers again.

Turner should rebound and White should have a big year receiving...the defence is a concern, but if one or two players step up, you have to like their chances.

Can't even start to look at Dallas with their double turnstile O line and one of the worst coaches in the NFC who negates all the talent they have on that team

Too much meddling from Jerry Jones in that team too. Anyway FWIW i think the other picks are v solid and have taken 4/1 bungles and 9/4 falcons for their divs today. GL!
