As a niners fan I was pretty shocked when I read this here yesterday, so I went on my niners blog and it was confirmed. He's only 23 for gods sake!! Was planned on being Frank Gore's backup this coming season, so this has left us pretty short at the rb position now. No details have yet been released officially by the niners, but they are seeking to recoup his signing on bonus which is approx $1m I think. Also, Kentwan Balmer - a DE drafted by us in the 1st round in 2008 - has been placed on the "left squad" list after going awol last wednesday. Not good news!!
I was really expecting us to make the playoffs this season, but this could just be the difference in us making it this year!

Well Westbrook in now, could end up as excellent, but its really taking a chance. I hope he can stay away from more serious injures, interesting signing.
