Too many play-makers not to do well H. They have a top 5 RB, a nice crop of receivers (Crabtree would have been in the running for OROTY had he not held out so long, and watch out for both rookies, Williams and Long, especially the latter who reminds me of TO in his powerful, swift style), a threat at TE, and above all a system that suits the QB.

Alex Smith will hold them back, they also have a limited pass rush and a poor secondary which isn;t ideal in this pass happy league. Could win their division but cannot see them winning and play off games tbh.

Oh god its harry 22 and im agreeing with him...long off season...
SF will win that division by two games, maybe more. I saw 6/4 for them early doors. 11/10 is still amazing value.
Seattle are a joke, wouldnt be suprised to see them picking first overall next year. AZ will struggle without KW, and Leinart is abysmal...the only thing they have going for them is a good coach.
Less said about the Rams the better.

I was tempted to tip Baltimore...but recent injury news has made me evaluate that pick again, at least till pre-season is over..
I got the saints winning wrong, but so did everybody else besides longshot chancers...no shame in that.

absolute b@llocks about the saints. anyone could see they improved their rushing game from 2008, got their secondary healthy and drafted jenkins, got a decent kicker and got their pass rush healthy with grant and smith back. they were a team that, without injuries, would easily win the division and have a shot in the playoffs. your quoted 33/1 (and they were bigger than this) was far too big. even if only for a trade. they were also constantly overpriced during their early winning run so there was plenty of time to realise how good they were

With the Packers schedule they are absolute certainties for the play-offs, at least.
Solid Defence, solid running game, good set af recievers, quality TE and a top 5 QB (IMO), i fancy them to go a long way this season.

Totally agree with Mr Milk and I would add that Drew Brees was saying "it's now or never for this franchise to win the Superbowl" 12 months ago. The team really believed they were that good. The Kicker was a disaster the previous year and I never bought into the 'bad defence' Saints, I watched every game and apart from a couple the defence was very good, teams only scored a lot of points because it was usually a shoot-out and the distraction of Wembley didn't help. Sean Payton also calmed down his madcap plays and continued to improve and impress as a head coach.
I was backing the Saints most pre-season but only got small money on here at 30.0 (12's for the NFC I think). Their divisional rivals were going backward (Falcons in transition) and the schedule looked very winnable.
I won almost £3k in February but will go to my grave thinking that that was the bet of my lifetime and I should have put my nuts on the block and backed accordingly. Financially I didn't have as much spare cash as previous seasons (bad year at work and full time child care costs). Even on the Superbowl Sunday I wasted about £500+ covering the Colts - Head in the hands man for me.
