Will be close, will probably need to play till he's 41 if he's hitting 25-30 per season. Any more serious injuries could scupper it though.
His contract is ridiculous on the face of it, signed up until he is 42 years and 3 months old with big annual salaries. However, there'll be the same fuss as there was with Bonds, so the Yankees will probably make their money back. They'll need to with A-Rod due another $30m in bonuses if he gets to 763. |
