ok just a few questions before i commit myself and pay the £15 and also put espn package back on sky (its got cancelled the minute NCAAF finished)

All very well paying by paypal, but when you receive the money your paying commision then the person who wins the league is paying commision on the commisioned money, from what i remember its 4% so thats some loss we're all taking.

Also when is the date of the live draft, any night next week im fine with however i cant do the week after as i'm working nights

I fund the prizes via the bank account where the subscriptions are kept; so there are no fees to pay for winners receiving their prizes.

I pay the Paypal fees of people sending subscriptions paid by debit/credit card ... so the loss is all mine.

Would it make sence to draft the newb league first so rookies can get a feel for it and the experts can tell us what we have done wrong? :)

If you've got a mate who's got an account, get them to send the money (we have players who do this already) if that's ok with them.

It just makes it much easier for me, frankly.

I'll randomise the draft order at the weekend.

Try out a couple of mock drafts if you've never drafted, or never MLB drafted on ESPN before - it'll pay dividends!

I know what you mean, Fen, and I had thought of limiting the player pool as you suggest, but 12 is a standard size, even for a mixed league, so we'll keep it deep. The prizes will be deep too.

I love draft weekend. The anticipation, the banter, the "pi$$ing myself laughing at Orioles' draft software". Its amazing.

Need some draft tips for tommorrow anybody want to share their expertise with a rookie?

My book, 'Fantasy Baseball Leagues What I Have Winned' gives a very thorough grounding in the game, and basic pointers on drafting. Particular chapters you should concentrate on are;
Ch6 'Drafting Lots of Closers Early'
Ch7 'You Don't Need Hitting or Speed'
Ch9 'My Favourite Sandwiches at Draft Time' and
Ch15 'McNabb Wears Women's Clothes' (illustrated)

I have been studying stats for the last 2 hours. I am in 3 leagues with Orioles and I intend to beat him in all 3 and ridiculule his latest draft software :p. I can feel a challenge coming on!

I have received a reminder that the draft is at 3.00pm ET tomorrow Sunday. Is that 8.00pm in our rather bedraggled little country? I only ask because I thought it was at 7.00pm and we are around the time of springing forward.

I don't want to arrive an hour late and discover I have automatically received a team of decent players when I can pick my own no hopers.
