BBC coverage is for people that never watch it.

Hate them going over the rules ad getting it wrong themselves....
Report inner city sumo February 7, 2010 7:31 PM GMT
Sky. BBC do very little for the game overall.
Report Gene Hackman February 7, 2010 7:31 PM GMT
Anyone who watches this sport all season should show a bit of loyalty and stick to SKY imo.
Report JimmyK February 7, 2010 7:33 PM GMT
I am going with BBC. I love Woodson and I felt the last couple of years they have done a solid job.

Sky have really let is slide in the last few years and I have been impressed with Arlo White and the Radio 5 coverage this season.

This is a real attempt in my opinion by the Beeb to maybe make a go of the game. They know that they will not have to pay too much to get it as the way the NFL market the game, as opposed to the Premiership, they will take less than Sky offer them if it gets mass market exposure!
Report Hayden February 7, 2010 7:37 PM GMT
Sky , sticking with the professionals instead of going back in time.
Report JimmyK February 7, 2010 7:39 PM GMT
The Professionals being.............

kevin cadle, a dreadful dreadful broadcaster

that brummy bloke who has worked out what he wants to say earlier in the day and repeats it whatever the question

jeff, who I actually quite like

bbc have a far stronger panel of experts
Report inner city sumo February 7, 2010 7:40 PM GMT
Well Jimmy, tune into the BBC on the second Sunday next September and see what they bring you.
Report letsalldance February 7, 2010 7:40 PM GMT
Sky for me, I actually quite like Kevin Cadle "let's get back to the balll game" :D
Report FORZA AS ROMA February 7, 2010 7:40 PM GMT
Ill support the company that plays the games throughout the season
Report fawwon February 7, 2010 7:40 PM GMT
Start off with sky, if they go on about wembley and fantasy leagues instant bbc.
Report Fru T Bun February 7, 2010 7:40 PM GMT
JK- can't see anyway that this is the start of something for the Beeb - they haven't been interested so far so why start now?

Also it aint value for money for the beeb licence payer (even as someone who loves the nfl)
Report Mr Lumpy February 7, 2010 7:41 PM GMT
Sky for me.

I like what the beeb are trying to do, but as a long time NFL fan, I hate having to sit through the analysis and explanations aimed at the once a year, casual viewer.

Besides, it just wouldn't be the same without Nick and Kev!!
Report JimmyK February 7, 2010 7:41 PM GMT
funny you should say that ICS as I have been given quiet word that they are going to make a play for it next year
Report Ross8481 February 7, 2010 7:41 PM GMT
Sky will be gettin it done in coverin the baw game imo
Report Onionss February 7, 2010 7:41 PM GMT
Disagree with the description of the Sky panel, and its fair to say that BBC wont analysis the game at all, they never do, they spend most the time telling the n00bs what is going on and the rules.
Report JimmyK February 7, 2010 7:42 PM GMT
Nick is over there at the game (the amount that will cost they could have got the Monday Night game!) and they need to sack Cadle and get someone decent on.
Report JimmyK February 7, 2010 7:42 PM GMT
Onionns

Did you not watch it the other year with Carlson and Woodson, it was brilliant.
Report R White Solutions February 7, 2010 7:43 PM GMT
BBC - no contest, miles better, and no ridiculous breaks all the while.
Report Onionss February 7, 2010 7:43 PM GMT
They ALWAYS send someone to the Superbowl.

You seem rather upset at the whole Sky layout of NFL it seems. If BBC were so good why didnt they bid for MNF? Oh yeah they don't give a f00k about the sport until the Superbowl
Report Onionss February 7, 2010 7:44 PM GMT
I did Jimmy, watched BBC last time, and I think Mike is a hero, but I hate all the rules being explained, it does my nut in
Report letsalldance February 7, 2010 7:44 PM GMT
BBC is for people who don't usually watch NFL whereas Sky don't need to bother explaining the rules and everything and just get on with the game. The only advantage of the BBC coverage is no ad breaks.
Report JimmyK February 7, 2010 7:46 PM GMT
well i am shockedand annoyed that the Beebs volume of coverage will be better than Skys.

Radio 5 build up starts at 9pm and even BBC 1 starts ten minutes before Skys!

Their Superbowl preview largely revolved around Cecil sitting on an alligator and picture of birds on a beach and of Payton playing in Leicester!

Why cant they get Carlson involved and do the fcukin job properly!
Report Onionss February 7, 2010 7:46 PM GMT
Yes but no ads mean more rules being explained.

Id rather have the rat advert
Report STEPTOES YARD February 7, 2010 7:46 PM GMT

Report cunnybobbler February 7, 2010 7:50 PM GMT
cant stand the presenters or coverage on either of them in all honesty. as i can only watch sky with a 1 minute delay il watch bbc. is the carlson on it?
Report Hayden February 7, 2010 7:50 PM GMT
jeez do people still listen to the radio , can't see the point of a radio for anything in life apart from music .
Report SM February 7, 2010 7:51 PM GMT
If Colin Murray isn't fronting either stations' coverage I will not be watching the game.

and as for those bigging up sky, are you after free subs?

Report Hayden February 7, 2010 7:53 PM GMT
In the scheme of things I suspect we're only having a fun debate to kill some time whilst we wait , we all know it matters not a jot which channel you watch as it won't affect your enjoyment and fairly sure you'll see the same game with the same scoreline.......so each to their own I guess.
Report Nilsson Schmilsson February 7, 2010 7:53 PM GMT

Report JimmyK February 7, 2010 7:56 PM GMT
btw, i think this is a closer game than a lot of pundits suggest. that clown brummy was suggesting a colts blow outon the sky preview.

if the saints can run the ball or at least complete a lot of screens for 4,5,6 yards i really think they can slow down the colts d, keep PM off the field and win this game.
Report Hayden February 7, 2010 7:56 PM GMT

It may well be if you like boxing but how can it begin to compare with watching it with your own eyes on a screen

Report JimmyK February 7, 2010 8:08 PM GMT

sky, flicking to bbc when the ads come on.

bit unfair to say bbc do nothing for the game, the 5live coverage this season has been good imo. hope they get the money to do it again next year.
Report rdb February 7, 2010 8:22 PM GMT
Sky, out of loyalty. And I don't need to have the rules explained throughout.
Report cunnybobbler February 7, 2010 8:42 PM GMT
i dunno, i always learn some new rules every year. not entirely sure theyre the correct rules lol but still try their best bless em. cant be any worse than itv, they really made a pigs ear out of it.

I quite like Smith, pleased he is the QB for my team, seems a solid and sensible guy.

Alex Smith and Rhod was a big coup for the BBC

Sky had some London Monarchs tight end!!
Report Hayden February 8, 2010 2:15 PM GMT
If you watched one channel and enjoyed the game you wouldn't have a clue about the other tbh so never conclusive and down to personal taste , no point in me bashing bbc coverage because I was watching on sky and too interested in the game to give a damn in all honesty.
