As a Pats fan......I disagree. Manning is an amazing, and I don't think any QB in history could have won that game for the Colts against a Saints D that had clearly figured it out after the first quarter.

Doggy..how are you mate? Im reporting you to Pats fans for defending Goober :) seriously you are right he's been playing at a new level this season but next season we start again.

Not bad h mate, not bad. How's tricks?

As for Goober, I've grown to respect him after his last few performances against us, and some of the typical Manning bashing is poor.

Always nice to see that "aww sh*t, I've cost my team again" look on his face though. Especially on the biggest stage imaginable.

There's going to be some epic Manning face pictures floating around over the next few weeks :)

i dont normally watch american football. but if peyton manning is the best quarterback of all time it must be a very poor sport.

This could be the best off season ever.

Im good mate..had a nice win but would have been 400 more on the Colts but its the best loss Ive ever had. The look on Goobers face was priceless...Happiest Ive been since our 3rd SB :)

Yeah he is quality though unlike some Im not ready to crown him yet just after this season. Wish we had his O Line but he has taken it up a notch this year. Hope TFB comes back stronger next year though I have a feeling Manning will end his career the stronger. He needs another ring or two sooner or later though..take care mate

Super Bowl thought: Peyton is no Brady
February, 7, 2010 Feb 79:50PM ETComment Email Print Share By Mike Reiss
Peyton Manning is a great quarterback, but what we learned tonight in Super Bowl XLIV is this: Hes no Tom Brady in the pressure moment on the games biggest stage.

Looking to lead the Colts back from a 24-17 fourth-quarter deficit against the Saints, Manning threw an interception that cornerback Tracy Porter returned 74 yards for a touchdown, a key play in New Orleans' 31-17 upset victory.

It was a costly mistake, the kind of miscue that Brady, in his four Super Bowl appearances, never made in the critical fourth-quarter situation.

Even in the Patriots Super Bowl loss to the Giants, Brady had led a fourth-quarter drive for a touchdown before the defense couldnt hold.

For all the stories that were written over the last week about which quarterback was the best of the decade Brady or Manning one aspect was overlooked: How Manning would lead the Colts in Super Bowl XLIV.

If you measure a quarterback by how he responds in the pressure moments on the games biggest stage, the debate ended with authority tonight.

People forget that drive against the Giants. It was one of the great Superbowl drives of all time, and would possibly have been the greatest but for David sodding Tyree.
