Spent last year looking, following, etc. I subscribed via a gmail to several offering free, etc, and just let the bets collect, checking in and adding up a few weeks at a time.

First, overall, none turned any reasonable ROI.

Second, there was no indepth betting meaning, as an example, with baseball, bets were around 1.40 and no one would look at playing -1.5 for value or perhaps positive enough to play the value.

Football, again, deleted them all.

Pay for: aware of someone that had more extensive stats and, again, ROI was ridiculous.

Chasing was alive and well. One person had a staking of 2 to 5 points. After a win, 2 pts. After a loss, 2, maybe 2.5. two losses 3, three losses, two selections that totalled 6 points over the two. And after a couple of losses, the *5 star cert* would pop up in my box. It was a study in stupidity.

I spent the past year putting together media links for hockey. Now looking at baseball media links. Better time spent researching on my own now that feeds are easy to set up with twitter or customized searches.

By the way, not just "tipsters", etc. Some were sites that offered generated predictions. Advertisers were coincidently bookies ;)

Don't pay for any of their paid guys, but some of the guys who enter the contests on wagerline are pretty good (and some are so bad as to be worth opposing) don't be misled by shortterm results though etc etc. Nice way of seeing where the public consensus is too.

Actually, yes, Lori is right.

If you look at some of the players doing the survivor, you'll see they play several sports (NBA, NHL, NFL, college) all at the same time. If you look down their list, you'll see their returns on certain sports is good while others are their downfalls.
