6.0 for the superbowl

2.8 v saints, 2.6 v colts = 7.28
2.8 v saints, 1.8 v jets = 5.04

bearing in mind theres about a 75% chance theyd play the colts, 6.0 looks skinny to me.

colts 2.36

1.3 v jets, 1.75 v saints = 2.275
1.3 v jets, 1.6 v vikings = 2.08

anybody like to have a bash at their own price estimates?

I agree with you, public money on the colts if they make the superbowl final. Payton Manning factor plus one of those teams people will latch onto. That will influence betting markets here.

Would agree Minnesota are a bit short especially looking at Indianapolis record against the Jets in recent years. Dont think it will matter as see New Orleans putting up the neccessary points to win the game.

Colts
1.33 vs Jets, 1.85 vs Saints = 2.46
1.33 vs Jets, 1.55 vs Vikings = 2.06

Saints
1.55 vs Vikings, 2.17 vs Colts = 3.36
1.55 vs Vikings, 1.5 vs Jets = 2.32

Vikings
2.84 vs Saints, 2.80 vs Colts = 7.96
2.84 Saints, 1.65 vs Jets = 4.69

Jets
4.1 vs Colts, 3.00 vs Saints = 12.30
4.1 vs Colts, 2.54 vs Vikings = 10.40

The Manning effect is possible in the Super Bowl, but I think the price will be very close vs Saints at least
Jets looks short...

personally think the vikings are massive
Report CJ January 22, 2010 11:06 AM GMT
Me too. I think the Saints are in for a massive shock this weekend. Definitely going to go in heavy on the Vikes. D line looks awesome.
Report cunnybobbler January 22, 2010 11:28 AM GMT
dangerous game imo wanting thousands on the vikings at 6.0 and 6.2 when its the second game. if the colts win 35-7 and look awesome they could easily go to 1.6 which would mean the vikings price would have to go out to at least 8.0 before they even play. ok maybe the jets win and the vikings drop to 5.4 but when the colts are 1.31 to win its pretty risky banking on them losing. if youre backing the vikings at 6.0 youd surely be better off backing the jets to beat the colts, cos thats effectively what you are doing and at much worse odds.

cunnybobbler could be right
Report d13phe January 24, 2010 10:06 PM GMT
The price of 1.75 suggests that is what they would go off against the Saints

reckon they would be lower and lower still against the Vikes therefore the Colts at 1.75 is a stonking price
Report cunnybobbler January 24, 2010 10:08 PM GMT
only problem is if the saint look fantastic tonight. but even then i think colts 1.8 tops. could be 1.58 v vikings.

Report cunnybobbler January 24, 2010 10:11 PM GMT
ive layed about 1,400 vikings at 5.9/6.0 think im going to let it ride and hope they lose. still got heaps on the colts anyway.
Report cunnybobbler January 24, 2010 10:13 PM GMT
no thats wrong! it would cost me about 1,400 to back the vikings if they win. think ive layed them for about 600 then. to be honest i dont know wtf im doing anymore! :)
Report incaseof January 24, 2010 10:42 PM GMT
All I know is that 5.9|6 now is madness, 2.10 vs Colts? :|
Report cunnybobbler January 24, 2010 10:45 PM GMT
just posted the same. stupid price. unfortunately ive no money left, its all on the colts and laying the vikings already. an im not laying off some of my colts bet at 1.85. too high.
Report incaseof January 24, 2010 10:50 PM GMT
Yeah, not backing Vikings in the match market, playing the value here...Saints vs Colts SB and Colts at 1.75 please!
Report incaseof January 25, 2010 2:26 AM GMT
wp

Funny that Indy was traded 1.80-1.87 all game and after it down to 1.66 in a couple of min!!
Report cunnybobbler January 25, 2010 2:28 AM GMT
remarkable. 2.5 saints so what price vikings??

i guess the price drop cos straight after the games sidjames put up saints 6/4
Report d13phe January 25, 2010 2:28 AM GMT
reckon we could see 1.4 Colts after that performance
Report cunnybobbler January 25, 2010 2:29 AM GMT

Report incaseof January 25, 2010 2:31 AM GMT
Yeah Saints was very poor but didn't expect low 1.60...and indeed what price vs Vikings :0

** what a price the 1.80 was!
Report cunnybobbler January 25, 2010 2:38 AM GMT
i said when they were 4.3 the price was far too big for the games they would play and they should be around 3.25. obviously didnt know san diego would lose but as it turned out they were about 1.3 v baltimore, 1.3 v jets and now 1.6 v saints. that works out at 2.704!
Report d13phe January 25, 2010 2:38 AM GMT
what price you reckon they will hit before the SB Cunny?
Report d13phe January 25, 2010 2:41 AM GMT
1.4 here we come
Report cunnybobbler January 25, 2010 2:41 AM GMT
i really dont know, being neutral venue is harder to predict. id imagine about 1.55.
Report 4 In A Row January 25, 2010 2:43 AM GMT
The early Vegas lines have them around 8/15, Pinnacle originally opened the line Colts -4 , but have moved to -4.5 already.
Report cunnybobbler January 25, 2010 2:44 AM GMT
cant see it being higher than 1.6 so probably a free trade either down or nowhere. wont be many people fancying the saints. wonder what happened to the guy laying the colts for 400k?? i didnt look. traded for a profit, not matched or looking for a rope?
Report cunnybobbler January 25, 2010 2:47 AM GMT
wow 1.54 already. whoever backed minnesota at 2.5 in running got a terrible bet. would have been much bigger now even if theyd won. and they didnt.
Report Ace High January 25, 2010 2:50 AM GMT
Sharp bet even though it lost.

Wow to be on that Vikes plane/coach home tonight....biggest example of giving away a superbowl appearance that I can remember. Can the franchise recover from that? Even as a neutral with pretty much no vested interest i felt sick for them.

Downside is that Favre comes back for another shot which must surely be 1/3 at this point.
Report cunnybobbler January 25, 2010 2:53 AM GMT
bit annoying really cos i knew 1.85 was too high, but id got all my money tied on colts and a lay of minnesota at 5.9/6.0. i thought minnesota would go up to about 8.0 so i could trade out of it but it stayed around 6.0 so i couldnt trade out of it. if i had been able to i would have slammed into the colts again at 1.85. so i pay the price for other peoples wrong prices. i mean ive done well out of it but i could have done even better, 1.85 was plain wrong. its a case of people wanting to back who is playing so the other team/teams are too big a price. happens every year.
