Worst Trade of recent years?
I remember Aikman publicly slating it last year, and everyone being quick to defend the cowboys.
The great man being proved right yet again...williams is a complete joke of a player and a man.

couldnt disagree on that one. still remember new york away when he had yards of open field to run into but saw a defender 10 yards away and stepped out of bounds

Of a MAN is a bit harsh!
Of a player to true in effect drafted twice 1st round plus some 2nd time around. In Detroit he played opposite one of the best WR IMHO in the NFL in Calvin Johnson and he still could not put any yardage up. A horrible trade from the team that pulled of the biggest daylight robbery of a trade ever with Herschell Walker which probably helped them win 3 Superbowls and cost Vikings a decade.
PS I love the trade as I hate them Cowboys.

Ok, 'everyone' was a stretch on my part, but I remember many yank commentators backing it up, or at least refusing to slate it.

I would tend to agree with you though I would put the Raiders up as the worse team for drafting at least so far this Century. Jarmarcus Russell is truly horrible and the WR pick of last draft don't look much better. However think Redskins have been very bad in free agency big names big bucks and little return. You should pay thoses guys average money with huge bonus incentives for performance.

I didn't mind what they gave up to try and get an elite receiver (Dallas) - I just think they gambled a helluva lot on Williams being that guy, still could be at some point I guess but he was never a stonewall for great production and despite the opening of the thread - that point was very widely debated when Jones initiated the move.

Yep I am from CH4 days as well 1st game watched was I seem to remember Redskins V Cowboys from 31-30 I think tough cant remember which way.Game was from season before as was the Strike year 1982 I think.
Redskins been my team ever since picked them as John RIGGINS reminded me of how I played Rugby at school, 25 trys in a season not bad as a 2nd row forward. Never ever scored a TD though, got a 2pt conversion in a flag foot ball match!

used to live in west london and followed Brentford home and fair few away for about 10-12 years with varying commitment in the later years but username is a bit out of date now, see very little of them these days.
Yeah Riggins was some player, amazing how much an hour highlight show a week behind used to mean in those days :D
