I think Houston will stuff New England in NFL- as they are resting main players...i expect the hcp line will be about 8 / 9 and that will be well within their reach if New England rest the players - and they would be crazy not to, as they will avoid San Diego in first week of playoffs, if they lose this one...i will be having a whack on this..10/11 at moment

it hurts my head working it out, however much i look at it - but this is from cbssports

PITTSBURGH Steelers
Pittsburgh clinches a playoff spot:
1) PIT win + HOU loss or tie + NYJ loss or tie
2) PIT win + HOU loss or tie + BAL loss or tie
3) PIT win + NYJ loss or tie + BAL loss or tie + DEN loss or tie

HOUSTON Texans
Houston clinches a playoff spot:
1) HOU win + NYJ loss or tie + BAL loss or tie
2) HOU win + NYJ loss or tie + DEN loss or tie
3) HOU win + BAL loss or tie + DEN loss or tie

1) BAL win

NEW YORK JETS
NY Jets clinch a playoff spot:
1) NYJ win

yes

although i have a stupid green for steelers in the SB, but they aint going to get through

people are talking about a lot of teams for the SB but one team you dont want to face are the Ravens imo

they got beaten by a dodgy call in the playoffs last season by the SB winners

yeah i have it between them and SD...although i have a lovely position on NO - but god knows what is happening there - although on a good day they can beat anyone - just if a defensive game they cannot do it.

Tbh im loving the hurting off the head, from working it all out, should be good entertainment, and makes a boring week 17 very intresting.
Raiders could well beat the ravens, remember last year raiders beating the buccs at the buccs knocking them out off the playoffs.
Ravens are better than the buccs i agree but raiders are better this season and thou i wont be betting it, if i was a raven i wouldnt be counting my chickens.
Jets should be ok against cinci, depends on the pats game id imagine how much off the game cinci's players play, and they will be a prime team to lose next week in the wc imo.

Should all these games not be starting at the same time in the interest of fairness?

presumably bungles going to be in pipe an slippers mode at the jets?

alternative pts might be worth a go. what price jets minus 24 pts?
By:

every scenario says that bengals should lose that game

they will get the jets again i think

hi thebus13 hows u mate if your about give me a call
So does everyone think new england will give up the no3 spot if they lose and the bungals win I like Cincy getting 10 still playing for no3 and if they lose they prob play jets again so would not want to go into that game having lost to them the week before

3 means very little difference.

makes more sense to rest everybody imo.

in fact if i were the bungles id even prefer to lose. id rather play the jets in the playoffs than baltimore. makes no sense going all out to win the game, if they do that and still lose thats really knackered confidence for when they play again next week.

Beaten Balt twice already this rest issue is overplayed nowadays Indy have sited that but dont they already have a bye week First round

When: 29 Dec 09 22:51
yeh and the bungles dont have a rest week which makes it even more likely theyll rest players. winning the game means absolutely zero. 3rd or 4th makes no difference. still at home first game, doesnt make alot of difference who they play. on the road at colts or chargers next game either way arent going to win.

i have no idea why anybody would risk key players in a totally meaningless game against the team you will probably play again next week in the playoffs. jets win by at least 20pts imo.

Pats will play SD imo regardless of this result

The Patriots will face the Texans on Sunday without five starters. CB Leigh Bodden (knee), RB Kevin Faulk, RB Laurence Maroney (knee), DL Vince Wilfork (foot) and DL Ty Warren (ankle) are inactive and will not play for New England.
