If Chargers lose next 2 and Pats win next 2 they are tied on numbers of wins and conference record. Next tiebreak is common opponents (min 4). This is where I have lost the proceedure as both have played a divisional rival twice (Denver and Miami repectively winning and losing one each) and the "common matchup opponent" have only been played once. I assume that New England hold the edge in this category and that is why San Diego haven't locked up the number 2 seed.

Any brain boxes out there to confirm?

Common games is void as there is not a minimum of 4 common games

Next tiebreaker is Strength of Victory where the Chargers currently hold the edge with 0.451 vs 0.429 for the Patriots.

This can all change in last 2 games however.

I think If it comes down to it, NE hold the common games tie breaker - common games are Denver, Miami, Baltimore, and Tennessee, and NE will have three wins in those games to SD's two.

Who holds the tie break between Vikings and Saints if both finish 13-3?

Sorry - sort of skipped over the common games thingy without looking at it properly

I guessed as much and that's why San Diego hasn't locked up the number 2 seed yet.

Thanks guys.
