i dont really see the logic of explaining basic rules when the only people watching the programme will already know them. the idea that loads of people who know nothing about the game will decide to watch this crap and then stay up til 5am on sunday nights is pretty absurd.

Totally agree, don't even bother watching it as its so rank. Presented by a person who supports two teams (wtf!), and one known from footballers wives (ffs) who is new to the game and is only interested because she's being paid to.
Buy a decent US recap programme and be serious about it, or don't bother. |

I think it's a pretty good watch on Saturday morning and Nat is very fit with a great pair of jugs

to be fair if it wasnt for CH5 i wouldnt watch nfl. i watched a couple of superbowls on bbc without knowing what was going on and channel 5 really helped me get the bug by explaining to me what i was watching. yes sometimes now i feel it a little basic but they have to fill the big gaps somehow which isnt easy

I broadly agree.
I would have thought that a lot of those who are nuts about the game watch it on Sky Sports. An off the shelf program bought in from the states on channel 5 would have practically no appeal to new or casual viewers. I can see how it'd be frustrating to watch if you are already passionate about the game but can't afford Sky Sports. |

ive never had sky in my life but ive been an nfl fan for about 20 years. ive seen nfl on sky the odd time at other ppls houses etc and thought the presentation was terrible, im not tempted to get sky. last few years ive paid for the gamepass but frustrated with the delay this year so may go back to the free streams in future.
i dont think many ppl who are not interested in nfl would watch a programme about it at 10am on a saturday morning on c5. and those that do will probably think its the worst programme ever. what worries me is c5 will probably use it as an excuse to stop showing the sunday games next year. also the live game presentation has had problems this year, not showing monday games will always certainly have caused alot of ppl to lose interest plus there seems a strange lack of cohesion in the studio as if nobody is quite sure what is happening anymore. i imagine a cut in the budget has caused that somehow. |
