i dont care if hes won a superbowl, the guy is fu cking rubbish.its fairly obvious the main reason behind them winning last year was troy polamalu.
how many 3rd downs did he complete last night? very little
and i cant understand why he doesnt throw the ball away when 3 or 4 guys are charging at him.
just throw it away instead of keeping it and losing 15 or 20 yards.
and yes i did have the steelers backed last night.

Big Ben wasn't great last night, but you cannot just blame him. The O-Line was being run over all night long, he had a bad night, and a bad season but he isnt a bad Q/B.

When you say he should just throw it away is right for more people, but not for Ben. He is one of the best players at hanging onto the ball, i can't remember the game but there was a play where two or three defenders were all over him, instead of just throwing it away he managed to beat them all off of him and then throw an outstanding pass to Ward or Holmes. It was one of the best plays I have ever seen, so i can understand why he hangs onto the ball for so long.

there were some sacks where literally noone picked up a man, and he just ran round the side unnoticed to take an easy sack

manning or brees wouldnt have faired much better with the recievers he had to aim at and the time he had in the pocket

hes not rubbish but hes nowhere near as good as the media make out. definitely not anything like as good as peyton, tom or drew.

hard to disagree with much of the above,
but that o-line was a fcukin disgrace..

Seems to be a bit of internal discord within the Steelers at the moment

eg - Hines Ward questioning Ben's "wanting" to play last week

Something not right there IMO

Offensive Line to blame. Not Ben. No protection. Hard to throw it away with two defenders holding on to him and still in the pocket. Would get called for intentional grounding. Manning, Brady, Brees and Warner are different class but Big Ben is definately in the top 10. A good offensive line makes a quarterback look great.

db1974 is right. Internal problems with the Steelers.

yep, they've problems alright, patriots want to watch they don't go down a similar route as i notice their dirty laundry is being publicly aired as well now.
When a superbowl winner plays like a perennial loser people want to know why and it doesn't take much digging around to get an answer.

got to say the O line was garbage the other night (as was the play calling)-Mendenhall I dont think had 1 gap to run through BUT Ben was naiive and has to take some of the blame for about 3 sacks.
Its one thing to move about the pocket but he was getting sacked by basically not moving IMO.As above the playcalling was dreadful as they should have been using quicker releases/screens/slants and plays that didnt need about 8 secs to develop.

Ben looks very heavy,is he fit? a lot of players look overweight to me....
