As mentioned in the thread title this is being played at the Rogers Centre in Toronto which is a dome so no weather issues.
Also I think both teams have good deep threats (Evans and TO for Buffalo and Edwards and Cotchery for NY) and am really liking the OVER at 36.5
Any thoughts?

I was leaning towards BILLS in this one because of the home field advantage! But now I know the game is in Canada - I am thinking that the Jets are the BETTER team!!!!

I have to say over on here 37.5 being odds against looks a good value bet. Anyone got any general stats on the amount of games that have had less than 37.5points this year? Know that this will not reflect the teams scoring ability but interest only. Five touchdowns and a field goal would be enough.
Jets for me, motivation has to be good for this one, no weather concerns and more offensive weapons than the Bills. However wont be betting on this as Im going with the overs. |

Looks like a 12-9 affair to me, which is completely at odds with the conditions (indoors).
But a 3rd game in 12 days and the relative lack of atmosphere could take a toll. One writer billed this as 'T O in TO', but he's 36 ffs. Owens, not the writer... Buffalo are earning a lot of dosh from these Toronto games and owe it to their Canadian business partners to show up after a shockingly tame effort here last season. I think the Jets 'D' is pretty good, but will be let down by Sanchez - an absolute turnover machine. Jets are certs if Sanchez does well, but he won't. Take your pick. |

well you're right about the former but it'll be a cold day in hell if he could do the latter,his main job tonight will be handing the ball off,least that's what the bills will expect from him anyway.
Both of these teams are above average on pass defense and i don't see many scoring opportunities,unders for me with the jetsto cover -2.5 as well |

1.55 is far too short. Along with Dallas the Jets are the most over hyped and overated franchise out there. The Bills have already beaten the Jets away from home this year. The Bills may be the worst team at stopping the run in the league but if they get ahead, Sanchez may have to throw 30+ times which no Jets backer/fan wants atm. Remember how poor the Jets were in December last year. Evens the pair imo

high street firms going 175yds as the line, Sanchez has made that only 3 out of the 11 regular season games so far (albeit coming within 10 yards in 2 others) and the Bills have the 7th best record in terms of passing yards given up at 197.8yds average. add in that sanchez has a tendency to blow up if its going badly, what should put me off lumping on unders? (other than the risk of a fluke long pass)
little bit of further analysis: Sanchez this season 154 vs Carolina3 119 vs Buffalo 7 163 vs New England 10 136vs New England 10 ------------------------------------------ 272 vs Houston 14 143 vs Oakland 17 138 vs New Orleans 18 ------------------------------------------ 172 vs Miami 23 265 vs Miami 23 212 vs Jackonsville 26 171 vs Titans 31 number after the team name denotes their team rank re pass yards given up. as you can see (and as i guess might be inevitable) sanchez has failed to light it up against any team with decent pass protection - obviously in part this would have influenced the jets game plan but still, with the exception of the Houston game he hasnt got over 170 all season. even worse, his worse performance of the season was against buffalo where he made a very poor 10 passes from 29 attempts. he is averaging 25.6 attempts per game so the jets have stuck with him to a certain extent. the prosecution rests its case - sanchez wont be getting over 175 tonight save for a long run after a completed pass. |
