About a half-hour before kickoff at Monday night's game against the New England Patriots, the entire New Orleans Saints team will gather around quarterback Drew Brees in the south end zone of the Superdome.

Brees will address the team with a quick intro, then repeat the team's 2009 mission statements: "Be special," "Finish strong" and "Smell greatness."

Then the team will break into a spirited count, alternating numbers -- "One! Two!" -- with the words "Win!" and "Again!" The count builds to a crescendo, stopping, ironically, at 10, when the Saints start repeating "Again! Again!" clasp hands and break the throbbing huddle.

Blimey....72-0 then.

who cares about the crowd...minnesota are the best team around in the nfc...they will prove it in the playoffs...AP will run all over the saints and brees wont be able to stand around all day throwing passes when the rhinestone cowboy comes off the edge...

its pocket talk backed up with facts....the best team dosent always win the superbowl...thats a fact...another fact is the vikings are solid right across the board and lost 1 game...they have the best team in the nfl right now

Pocket talk backed up with opinion more like.

Don't see how you can claim the Vikings are the best team in the NFL as a fact. The Vikings are a very good team this year and there is not much in it in my opinion.

I'd say that the Saints are better if they have certain key players fit - Sharper for one. A few injuries and they could be in trouble but with both teams at full strength, I'd take NO.

its not opinion...they are better team all round...that is a fact...they can score for fun like the saints and colts....they have better special teams.....D is much stronger...running game excellent...and they can stop teams running on them...can the saints??? NO...1 loss...they are stronger...dosent mean they wil superbowl...just takes a team to get momentum at the right time

lol@certain key players being fit???? sharper is on the field so he is fit to play...who are other key players???....btw most the players on the field each sunday are playing with injury...sharper not fit :^0 thats lame

wtf are you on about?

My point is that Sharper is one of the important players for the saints. He seems to lift the team and the games where Saints have looked poor have coincided with him being out. No coincidence imo.

I wasn't claiming he was injured last night? Where have I claimed that? He played, got a vital interception, and the Saints defence stopped one of the most potent offences in the NFL. I was merely using this player as an example of one who needs to be in the team for the Saints to be at their best.

btw redrich im not disputing that picking the saints is the wrong choice...they may well win...vikes have the power to beat everyone on paper ;)

thats what u said...that is stating shaper is injured...u still havent named the other players lol...
By:

ok plain and simple...if all players are fit on both sides either team could win...its any given sunday....but the vikings are the stronger team on paper ;) do you not think they are stronger all round??
By:
redrich
When: 01 Dec 09 10:39
how is that stating he is injured? I really don't get it. He was injured and now he's not. I'm saying that the saints are better when he is fit (and playing) as opposed being injured/out. Really don't understand what you are on about.

and I tell you a fact if you want.

You're an idiot. You go from thread to thread trying to force your opinion on everyone, your philosophy being - he who shouts loudest will be heard.

I'll withdraw from this futile conversation. It is against my morals to enter into a battle of wits against an unarmed person.

Cheers.

its not an opinion redrich...it really isnt....its FACT..anyone from the NFL will tell u the same :^0 some people just wont be told... ok here we go..... brazilian striker ronaldo is the best forward in the last 10 years...now thats an opinion which is close to being a FACT lol....on the other hand the VIKINGS are atronger team all around then the saints...thats a FACT not an opinion...just look at the roster of both teams...redrich getting himself worked up ;)

yes LIFETAKER....you could see the potential last season...apart from when they left the dome in december....this year they wont have to do that which is why they could go all the way.....with the nfc east doing so bad combined with the saints being 11-0 they will be playing indoors through the playoffs..
